Really bummed... this is probably the 1st bday in my life that im sad...I had my party on saturday and MOH didnt come because she was busy throwing her own party the same day even though she knew it was my party ... and her bday isnt for another month and a half. Alot of our mutual friends said they could attend for various reasons but today when i went on her fb wall they were all raving about her bbq.. im just really down on myself and discouraged... alot of ppl at work said they were comming also and not one showed up.. and now i have to be in a room filled with ppl who dont care about me.. feeling useless.. Not to mention FH didnt get me anything.. and probably wont send flowers even tho i sent stuff to his office on his bday...

Go out to lunch with someone or call FH and tell him straight out your having a bad day.. I'm sure he'll ask how to make it special or tell you not to worry because he already has something planned. Just be positive.. it'll work out. If anything.. make it the way you want. Go out to eat, maybe get a mani/pedi.. etc. Whatever you like.

Cheer up FH still has time to surprise you with something. As for your friends & coworkers don't sweat it I learned a long time ago people can disappoint you at times just keep your head up. It's your birthday do something nice for yourself- get a mani/pedi that always cheers me up Happy Birthday!!!!

Unfortunately celebrations (weddings, birthdays, holidays) tend to bring out the worst in people.
Luckily you find out who your true friends are but at the same time it is hard to find that out!

People didn't make a big deal about my birthday this year and it was a...ahem...round number. I was totally feeling sorry for myself. I understand and I think so do the other girls. B!tch all you want!

You might not think FH will be doing anything special, but I'm sure that if he knows how you felt after your bbq he may just not know what you need to make you feel better so tell him. Let him know that you're feeling extra crummy and he should bring you out for ice cream.
I've learned with my FH recently that just because he doesn't do something nice or special its not because he doesn't want to help, its that he doesn't know what I'm expecting and it doesn't take away from the gesture if I tell him what I want and need.
