Not for those with the perfect man

I love my FI dearly and he is certainly a rare breed and I am so lucky but there are just some things that I think are inbred in men that just DRIVE ME NUTS!!!!!

Sorry- just needed to vent. Hope someone out there knows what I am saying. This doesn't mean I am doomed does it?

Re: Not for those with the perfect man

does this have anything to do with the following:

*not picking up his dirty clothes?

*inability to get the dirty dishes from the table to the sink?

*inability to wear nice clothes when you go out?

*no desire to assist in wedding planning but filled with opinions when decisions are made/presented?

*inability to talk about anything NOT related to sports?

*being obsessed with sports teams, even when they can't win a game against the JV team (ie-jets, knicks...)???

if so, you can join my club!!

OKAY maybe he's not so bad he doesn't do any of these things except the one 'no desire to participate then offers strong opinion'. But he helps around house, doesn't like sports, doesn't go out more than 3-4 times a year and will listen to me just not participate much in conversation. BUT, hes just so cranky sometimes and can never say hes wrong and if I get cranky he gets annoyed like he doesn't want to get an attitude all the time. HELLO- I am planning this wedding, doing everything related to buying this house and getting my masters right now. Sorry if sometimes I GET CRANKY TOO!!!!!

i get that too!!!! he's never wrong....but he is!

i think the inablity to clean thing has come from years with his mother who would just clean it all up and from all the attention he received for being sooooo messy in college....'hey cheryl, is he still the messiest man alive?' 'yes bill, he is!!'

everyone has their faults. i am sure there are things that bother men about women. they just have to realise one day that women are the supreme species.

my FH is pretty good, but the one thing that drives me nuts is his ability to forget and lose things. it drives me crazy. but he never forgets things about his precious PC games (ex- WoW).

and the worst is when his mother gives me 'tips' on how to deal with this.

AMEN, SISTER! I got in an argument with my FH a few weeks ago because I 'had an attitude'. Um... first of all... HIS attitudes can top mine, at times. And, second of all... ALL I DO for him... and for the HOUSE... and for this WEDDING. Aren't I ALLOWED to have a friggin' attitude?

Thanks, Annie... had to get that out.

My FH likes sports, wears wrinkled messy clothes sometimes, and leaves the dirty dishes in the sink. I have no problem with any of that and I never nag him to wear better clothes or pick up his dirty ones. Sometimes, he will ask me if a shirt needs to be ironed and I'll give my opinion then iron it for him. Other than that, he dresses or leave clothes where he wants.

When he watches sports on Sunday, I go to the gym, he just does his thing and I do mine. I don't have any complaints with my FH. He isn't perfect, but he's perfect for me.
