Not having...

OK, I totally stole this from one of the other boards. And, I know it's early for us but what are you NOT having? I remind myself often that I say things that I will never do and then turn out liking them. For instance, I swore I would never wear capri pants and I love them now. lol

OK, I'll start...

I'm not having an engagement party.

We Do / I Do block letters
programs (not sure yet though)

Hmmm...that's all I can think of right now.

That's all I can think of right now. The most absolute thing that I do want is to not see FH until I walk down the aisle.

No cake in the face
No cry packs
No garter toss
No 'We Do Letters'
No receiving line
No engagement party

Not Having

Receiving line

Electric slide, chicken dance, alley cat, casper slide, marcarna or any other corny line dance
No cry packs
No garter toss (So embarassing!)
No seeing Groom until down the aisle so,
No meeting FH for pictures before
No DJ crowd motivators (you know those people who try to get people to dance)

What is the 'I Do lettering?'

Im sure there is alot more but I havent started planning much yet.

The I Do lettering are just maybe wooden letters that spell out 'I Do' or 'We Do'. I see a lot of it on this website. People seem to put them around their cake.

I will also not have:
A church wedding (I'm getting married at my reception hall)
Receiving Line
Cake in my face
The DJ giving away things
slipper baskets

wow! there are so many options.. i had to do a search on cry packs.. lol

a dance number (my fh has this dancing with the stars kind of idea for a dance number with a disco ball and a detachable wedding gown.. NOT HAPPENING)
a VIP section with velvet ropes.. (another one of fh's ideas.. that will NOT take place)

girl his idea in detail was: after the appetizer, the lights would dim and a disco ball would descend over the dance floor.. smoke illuminated in red would flood the dance floor as we walk out to do a 'dancing with the stars' style routine complete with him snatching off the bottom of my velcro attached dress...

and he had the nerve to be HURT when i told him that would NOT be taking place.....that after i work an hour in the morning getting myself into my dress there would be NO costume changes..

then he mentioneid the vip section with velvet ropes.. i got up and walked away from the table.. told him to call me when he was serious again..

I'm not having Jordan almonds. I just don't know what I would need them for.
My FH doesn't want bathroom attendants. I don't think we have them anyway but he said he doesn't want them.

Yeah no give a ways

no 70's music
no dance #'s (YMCA crap like that)
And no requests from my parents JHS friends
