So I'm think I really don't want to wear white, or ivory, or anything close. Any other brides wear COLOR on their big day? Where di dyou go - like should i just wander into Kleinfelds and ask for blue? lol

i know that in some cultures brides wear red but i'm not sure how you'll do trying to find a wedding gown in blue
maybe you could find a really ornate MOB gown in blue and wear it as your wedding gown?

I love that idea and I say go for it!! I know some designers will custom dye a dress for you but it's hard to find. Good luck!!

I wanted to wear a color but went to white because I got sappy. My advice is to go to a place that sells evening gowns and tell the woman you are going to a black tie event and want a dress in _____ (whatever color you are going for). See what they come up with. If you say colored wedding dress they are going to throw prom gowns at you and you don't want that. There are gowns that have the full skirts and trains, all the drama of a wedding dress. Go for it girl (and post pictures!)

I am wearing red. If you go with a designer dress they should have no problem dying it for you.

Awesome! I thought maybe I was being a little too original- but I'm glad I'm not the only one. Offbeat Bride just posted pics of a bride in black, and all her bridesmaids in white. it looks so cool!

Love by enzoani has some stunning bridesmaids dresses that are totally gorgeous enough to get married in.
and they're pricey for bridesmaids dresses, but totally reasonable if you were gonna use one for a bridal gown.
