Well, I've been keeping this a secret from you all because I am extrememly superstitious and because this process of purchasing a home has been the worst experience of my life (seriously, ask kissy).
But, my FH and I closed on Wednesday on a one bedroom condo in New Jersey with a beautiful terrace, steps away from his beloved fire house and my future mil's tasty kitchen.
Amenities include; a year's supply of 'all the way' hot dogs (jersey girls will know what that means); rides in the fire truck whenever I want; salt water taffy at all times of the year; and most importantly, proximity to the original 'Bada Bing' strip club.
We are in the beginning process of fixing it up - we even painted the first night and I suppose at some point before the wedding, I will take the plunge and move off of Long Island and to that mystical, magical land of New Jersey.
In order to get acclimated, I shall now talk with a loud accent, tease my bangs, and listen to bon jovi and springstein while driving recklessly. (just kidding! if FH is lurking he will be mad! I love NJ - just kidding!)
Anywho, very glad it's over. The seller was mean and I chose to be civil during the closing and only made about 3 nasty comments and refused to shake their hands goodbye.
