So after my dress dilemma this week I am getting to the end of my rope....
I just contacted the Sand Castle (where my wedding is) they gave us a trip to Greece with our package. My wedding is in April & we wanted to leave for our honeymoon the Monday after our wedding. We were going to do a week in Italy & then a week in Greece.... Well not anymore!! I was just told that the hotel in Greece opens end of May. Needless to say I AM PISSED!
So, starting from square one...any suggestions for a honeymoon location??
Sand castle brides...When did you use your week in Greece??

we got married end of april and they told us that early may there is not 'beach' weather. so we are using our week the following summer. its still a free trip, so we arent going to pass that up!
we wound up taking a cruise through the panama canal. google it to check out the itinerary. it was really amazing

We went in July. I'm sorry you can't go...we asked if we could use it in July, because we thought there might be some kind of black out dates. We took a long honeymoon (we're both teachers so we had the time) and started in Paris, then went to Crete, Athens and Dublin. Maybe push your honeymoon back a week or two and start in Italy?
Maybe do a minimoon and take the trip later in the summer?

Why not wait a month for your HM? You can do a mini-moon in april and then your 'real' HM in may (or whenever the hotel opens.
That's what DH and I did ... it was good because we didn't need to worry about packing & making travel plans (checking on flight delays, finding excursions, etc) right before our wedding.
but cons to it is that you really need a vacation after the wedding

I havent booked the sand castle yet, but they are top of our list of RHs.....i do wanna ask if we can use the greece hotel at a different date other than our HM. I had my heart set on a few days in disney and then a cruise for the HM, and i know its a free-ish trip to greece....but i really want my disney HM!
If they allow us, i plan on going in July (getting married in oct), cause i graduate from my residency in july!

We are going to use ours around our one year anniversary which will be end of May 2012 ...hopefully they'll be ok with that! (I haven't exactly confirmed that with them, that's just our plan) I think you have up to a year to use it.

Just saw the SC on Monday and they said you could use the trip up to a year from your wedding. I have a friend who went and said it was incredible.
