Not quite sure what to do

Not quite sure what to do

Me and my fiance can't decide if we want to write our own vows. I want to since it seems more personal and means more to each other, but he feels like he won't write something that will be able to express how he feels.
We are getting married outside and won't have a priest.
Did you write your own vows? If so how long befor hand did you start?

Re: Not quite sure what to do

I searched online and found a whole mess of vows choices. I didn't want to right my own because I will be nervous enough and didnt' want to add to it. If he really deons't want to try not to force him to because it may make him less excited about the wedding. good luck

Re: Not quite sure what to do

Vows are a very personal thing. Contact your person performing the ceremony. Our minister actually had a book of vows she reads from and after talking with us read one one that we just loved. We changed a few words but it was perfect for us. I had thought that I would want to write my own vows as well but I decided that I wanted my wedding ceremony to be easy and predictable. So many other things can happen that day and I just want to know that this part of it is taken care of.

good luck
