Not real happy with....hair (pics included)

my hair trials from the back.......

I feel bad because my cousin is doing my hair the day of the wedding, and I am not sure how to tell her 'I really don't like it.'

The first pic was my first hair trial with a lady and the 2nd and 3rd pic my cousin did. I am sure I would like it if it didn't look messy....but then again maybe its my hair - it is so fine.

I would really like it half up with the remainder down being curly....but my hair doesn't stay. Maybe I will put hot rollers in the day of my wedding, instead of the curling iron.

I think it looks really pretty. My hair is fine too and it's always been a problem for me, but your hair is beautiful. The shine alone ought to blind your guests! I like your cousin's work better IMHO!

I told the 1st lady how I wanted my hair...but it just didn't look right on me and boy did it hurt. I was pulling bobby pins out of my head for a week

I definitely like how my cousin did my hair....how do you think my hair will come out in this pic? I really like her hair and she has the same typ eof dress as me...sweetheart neck line.

this is your wedding day... you can't worry about hurting feelings.

If I'm being honest (wow... I sound like Simon Cowell), the first one is waaaay too messy. You have really beautiful hair... this person just didn't do it right. The 2nd and 3rd are BETTER, but I just think it should be a little more contained, or else it looks too wild for the wedding day.

Are any of your BM's or family members having their hair done the day of? Try one of their people, and you can always tell your cousin, 'Thank you, but my mom (or MOH) wants to pay for my hair and makeup, so we're using their girl'... or something like that to try to spare feelings. But YOU should be your first priority for your wedding day. You don't want a 'less than the best' hair style for your wedding day so you wouldn't hurt someone's feelings!

I REALLY like that second picture of the half up-half down bride you just posted. (in fact, I like her hair, make up, EVERYTHING! I printed it to show my hair and makeup people).

I DEFINITELY think this is a look you should try out. VERY pretty and more bride-y than the first ones.

Here is a pic of the front. It is hard to see - she did a zig zag effect. Also, she would have to bring the back up higher over my head piece.

It looks pretty from the front but if your going with an updo yea, def make her pick it up so you see some of it from the front.

I know I am going to dance all night long and I am afraid the curls will come out or it will be annoying. This is my only concern.

I see what you mean. It needs to be tightened up then. I'm not a hairstylist so I really cant give you any suggestions on that. You look really pretty from the front but it does need to be lifted higher so that you can see at least part of it. You have long hair so that shouldn't be too hard, right?

You know what it was in the first picture, she didn't curl your hair! It looks like she just put it up while it was still straight. You definitely need curls.What would look good is the hair in the 2nd and 3rd pics curled, but just put together tighter.

Another good idea might be to try that half up half down style to see if that suits you better. There won't be as many hairpins required and it will be less annoying for sure. Just beware that if you have fine hair (like me) loose banana curls tend to 'straighten' as the day/night progresses.

Wrote this before, and got bumped off liweddings.

I just want to say... you're a VERY pretty girl, and those hairstyles you tried really don't do anything for you. Especially the picture from the front... you need more height for your wedding day. That one of the half up/half down is BEAUTIFUL.

Try someone else... I'm sure you'll get a better look for your Big Day. There are a few girls at Cactus in Syosset that do GREAT updos... Kristen does the BEST updos there. I see her doing brides all the time, and it's VERY impressive. I'm not getting an updo, so I'm going to Kerri, who I LOVE (never saw her do an updo, but she's great all around - she's my regular girl. I'm doing somethine similar to the last picture you posted). Also, Cheryl is great there, too... does a lot of brides. Of course, you don't have to try Cactus in Syosset, just try someone GOOD who will give you the PERFECT look for the most important day of your life.

Thanks girls....I am not going for any other hair trials, it is getting too expensive. I am going to have my cousin do it and hopefully the of it will look great.

Sometimes I feel that the stylist does not put in 100% at trials.
