Not sure how to handle this??? long... LOL

ok so the other day i put a post up about how - someone i know is sending me a STD - but i have no intentions on going to her wedding or inviting her to mine.....

I firmly decided that im just NOT inviting her, and if the topic gets brought up, ill casually change the subject and just say 'oh i cant make it'

But in any case... i chat with her online all the time, just small talk - wedding talk etc.....

Today she says to me 'You should be getting your STD today' So i play stupid and say 'really? i didnt think we were invited'
She says 'OF course silly'
SO then i just got quiet.... so then a few mins later, shes like 'SO you better save the date of october 22, 2011 - u better be there' I simply say 'Oh man, I already know FH is working that night'
She then says 'Thats ok, you can come with Jessica and Ill put you at a fun table'

So now im like.... WTTTTF!!!

So again i get quiet!

And then she made a comment like 'ya know it would really mean a lot to me if you guys were there'

I didnt even KNOW how to respond to that one!

Im not the type to come out and say 'IM NOT COMING' or be mean -

Now #1 - I stopped hanging out and talking to her after i sent her and her FH a $75 cookie engagement basket and got a 'thank u so much' thru TEXT and not even an effin phone call! Her and I didnt even talk online for months after that!

we dont talk on the phone, we dont ever see eachother!

#3 why is it so important to her that Im there!!!

I dont get it??????

So now, I dont know where to go from here!
I know if we chat again online shes gonna ask if i got the STD

what would you do???

Its like getting annoying talking to her about anything now, bc thats all she brings up!

brilliant!

I know a few people like that - and as rude as it might be, at some point you just have to begin ignoring them - although even then they don't sometimes get it. When you get her invite, just decline w/ regret and voila - wish her a happy marriage, and that's that.

Unfortunately, some people just don't get it

is realllllly annoying me!

when she got engaged she kept saying it to me, and i kept ignoring it! LOL

LOL I don't blame you. Why don't you just tell her - 'So excited you two are getting married! We'll do our best to be there, but will let you know as we get closer to the date in case something comes up'

Yep, i agree with the others - tell her you'll do your best now ... and when you get the inviite, just rsvp no.

maybe you could tell her that you feel terrible that you can't go but you just can't afford a gift (and would absolutely not go gift-less because you'd feel too guilty)

why is she so concerned with you going

tell her to relax and take it as it comes! some people cant come to your wedding, so just let her know that before she even sends the invite out

although it seems like she would send it to you anyway and be made even if you decline!

BACK AWAY FROM THE ONLINE FRIEND!

You dont have to do anything you dont want to...just know that if you dont go you most likely wont ever talk to that person again. Also, Im just saying, but proper etiquette says you still send a gift if you dont go... so if you decide not to do that then you DEF wont ever talk to her again GL and HTH

thats one of the weekends we have in oct to possibly get married if sept doesnt work out so maybe you will just be hungover from mine =) I do like the shower thing though. Or maybe block her for a little while on AIM...XOXO

I don't get it! Maybe she doesn't have a lot of friends. Be careful because if you agree to go you might wind up being a bridesmaid!

I agree. She might be mad/upset but if you're really not that close to her, its not a loss.
