i'm not sure what it's called ... but there's some sort of 'ceremony' that you do (at the wedding reception itself) when the last child gets married. does anyone know what it's called and what you actually do at this thing?
FMIL is already talking about it and i need to know if it's as ridiculous as the rest of her ideas or not.

I've seen it twice at weddings, we may do it at mine, both times its the last daughter getting married and the parents sit in the middle of the dance floor, have a crown of flowers placed on their heads, and everyone dances around them. I think there is a song to do it to....

Assuming you are Jewish since this is a Jewish tradition :)
We spoke to our rabbi about it, but decided we dont want to do it.
But yes, its done all the time. Do whats right for you :)
if you don't want to do it, you could tell her instead she can sit in the middle of the dance floor and people can throw pies at her?

lol i would love to!
having them sit in the circle and have people dance around them sounds stupid to me ... maybe we'll just dedicate a song to them or something. not that i am one to want all the attention but i'll be damned if i share it with THEM ... **sigh**
