not sure what to do ?

i got a couple of gifts yesterday in the mail from my cousins- my wedding is oct 20 and they are coming to the wedding, my shower hasnt hapened yet - im not sure what to make of the gifts are they shower gifts, or wedding gifts or what? the card says congrats on you upcoming wedding, and the card was addressed only to me not me and my fi. my mom thinks its a shower gift, i dont know what do you think??

Can you have your mom call your cousin? Have her ask your cousin if she should bring the gift to the shower or if she should wait for your wedding.

I would say it is a shower gift. If you want to play it safe don't mention what is is for in your thank you. Say something like:

'Thank you for the (insert gift here) FH and I can not wait to use it for (insert related activity here)! We are so glad that you are able to attend our wedding and look forward to seeing you at our special day next month.
