Not to be CHEATER obsessed or anything...

Not to be CHEATER obsessed or anything...

But do you believe that the phrase,
'Once a cheater, always a cheater' is mostly true? Explain why you answered the way you did. I don't believe this is always the case, but I feel in most cases it probably is. I think people that are prone to cheating are more likely to cheat again in the future. This scares me because (DON'T FLAME ME HERE), I've cheated (no sex) on boyfriends in the past. I haven't cheated on my husband since we've been married, but that phrase always scares me. I know I have enough self control to NOT cheat and I love him too much to do it, but I wonder if it's just something in a cheater's personality or something....

Honestly, I think it depends on the person and the situation of their cheating. If it was a one time cheat and they feel horrible about it, I don't think they would do it again, but if they're a frequent cheater (They've cheated on a gf/bf several times), then I'd say it's likely for them to cheat again.

Re: Not to be CHEATER obsessed or anything...

Ok, now I feel all guilty and stuff so I'll explain. In the past, I've gotten very intoxicated and kissed guys while I had boyfriends. I KNOW it's not an excuse that I was drunk, but I did it, and the past is the past. I also told my SOs that I did what I did the next day and they forgave me. I get very flirtacious when I drink. I either have to give up drinking or take DH with me everywhere now. Just kidding. I'd never cheat on him, but I feel like it's so inhuman to be around attractive men that you're very friendly with and not at least FEEL like you want to kiss them.....

Did he sleep with someone else or just kiss someone else? Just out of curiosity...

! You poor thing! SO happy you got rid of him! For some reason, I don't think of kissing someone else while dating is NEARLY as bad. I could never bring myself to SLEEP with anyone else!

ETA -- and your 'FRIENDS' and more than one????? OMG!

i think it depends on the situation

I think it depends on the person.

One of my exs was a notorious cheater. Cheated on me, cheated on his fiance, basically cheated on everyone. But he was a slimeball plain and simple. He had no guilt or self-control whatsoever.

i've never cheated... neither has my FH. (in any relationship that we were in). and, i don't want anyone to take this personally, this is JMO... but i do think that if i knew that FH had cheated on someone in the past- i would look at him differently, and think 'what makes me think that he wouldnt do it again?!'

i do, however, think its a little different if you cheated on someone when you were like 15, but never did it again. we were alot different at 15 than we are now. But i just look at cheating like- if you were capable of doing it before, you're capable of doing it again. I base alot on Trust- and cheating just shows that someone can't be trusted IMO.
i think we all have those random dreams or thoughts about getting with someone else (yeah, i would definately get w/ brad pitt every night in my Dreams if i could lol).. but thinking something and acting on it are 2 completely different things.

My friend and I went to lunch on our day off and she was telling me her brothers friend is married. He suspected his wife of cheating- she was going out a little too much etc. SO he hired a PI...Well he came back with pictures and she was cheating all right. WITH HER BEST FRIENDS FIANCEE!!! AND SHE IS THE MOH!!! I couldnt believe it!!! They have two kids...

Last my friend heard he was inviting the family over and showing them the Halloween pictures and the other PI pics will happen to be in there!!!!!

Nope, I believe when you find the right one you can change (althought I'm sure not in all cases). I was a cheater in the past (not proud of it) but did it quite a few times. I have never thought about cheating on DH and honestly never will. I know how good I have it now and would never risk that

I hope its not one of our girls too!!!

i feel like... if your relationship is THAT bad.. just end it. I know its absolutely one of the hardest things to do.. to end a marriage.... but at least it shows that you have that little amount of resepct for your SO and yourself
