not to be controversial

not me, but a close friend of mine had one a few years back. She was actually going to keep it, but her parents talked her out of it. Now her and her DH are trying to conceive and having trouble. It may be just coincidence, but when she told me they were having trouble TTC, the first thing I thought of was her abortion!! I told her it figures, before they wanted a baby, they had no problem getting pregnant, but now that they are married and ready to have a baby, it is very difficult!!

But I also have another friend that had 3 abortions and she never had a problem when she was ready to have a baby!!

oh maybe i see what youre talking about now.... read it again.. you'll see that i said i knew someone who had THREE abortions.. not ONE, THREE and now she cant concieve... and im sorry, but YES i DO think it is her fault becuase of what she did to her body... if you think something can go wrong with one surgery imagine what can go wrong with 3! i didnt mean that a girl who has abortion shouldnt be able to have kids. you should know that. you have no reason to be offended. if you were than i should be offended too. i think youre taking what im saying the wrong way.

listen.... i'm not getting into a fight about this. she had THREE abortions. so, if you had three yourself, then sorry for offending you.... also, this topic was for ME not to offend you... youre kind of being selfish. i am trying to ask ppl what they know, so i have a better idea for my own body and life. i wasnt like 'let me write a topic to offend gem' youre really taking this all the wrong way... and besides, if these women truly ARE experiencing difficulties how it disgusting and offensive>? its something to take and learn about.

ok, fine. i dont want to fight either. i'm sorry if i seem selfish, maybe i'm just overly sensitive on the topic right now. i will erase my responses so you can get the answers you were looking for.

i thought you and I were on the same page. I am trying to gain knowledge on this situation. I only had mine in June, so I am really unsure about ALOT of things right now. I'm sure you did some research after yours. The truth of the matter is that i knew someone who had 3 and cant have a baby now, and yes, i believe it was MEDICALLY due to her exsessive abortions.. so it frightens me and i want to know about OTHER people that have gone through this. whether i like what i hear or not, i fell i need to hear it.

i am sorry if i did offend you, please do not think that i think girls who have abortions deserve not to be able to have babies, i do not wish this upon anyone. it is a very sensative subject so i understand how youd be upset. sorry if anything i said upset you. dont worry about your responses unless you wish to erase them. im sure everything will work out just fine for you, me , and all the girls out there who are now in this situtaion. im going to watch Curb Your Enthusiasm to get my mind off things now. G'Nite!

I know three people that had abortions and they miscarried the first time before having successful pregnancies, I don't know if that has anything to do with the abortions or not. I wish you all the luck in having children when you feel you are ready. I wish you didn't have to hold this weight on your shoulders. I'm sure everything will be fine for you.

I just checked a couple of books (Womens Bodies, Women's Wisdom, the Harvard Helath Manual, Pregnancy over 30) and they all say there is no correlation.

I know a few people who had abortions and had not trouble getting pregnant after that. I'm sure you'll be fine.
