But this is a sounding board and I need to vent...
I work with three people who happen to have THE WORST laughs in the world...And the three of them happen to all be standing near my desk talking and LAUGHING...
The sound is really worse than nails on a chalk board...

You should put up a sign that says NO LAUGHING......
I hate when people are by my cube, on their cell phones or just having a conversation with someone else.
I would love to put up a sign that says NO SOLICITATING

I have one of those too ... loud talker, loud laughter, just loud and obnoxious and thinks she's great, meanwhile everyone makes fun of her.

I COMPLETELY understand what you mean.
I'm sensitive to noise to begin with (wonder why I work in Manhattan, eh?) Nothing can begin to irk me more than incredibly loud people and/or gaffawing, high pitched and/or 'fake' laughter .. especially when they are doing it while invading YOUR personal space
I had that for my entire 40 minute train ride this morning .. all I wanted to do was read my newspaper and chill, and there was HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ad nauseum going on behind me!!

Generally I certainly love the sound of laughter...I guess maybe theirs just sounds so business-like...And fake...AND FREAKING LOUD AND ANNOYINGGGGGGGGGGGGG...
One woman is really high pitched...The other gasps in this weird way...And the other...I don't know...It's like she's struggling...I feel terrible to be complaining about such a thing...But it's sooo annoying.
