Re: Not to knock all the Nader voters, but...
I actually voted for him in 2000. It was out of protest of Bush and Gore. I hate that we sometimes feel forced to choose the lesser of two evils!

I did this in 2000 also but this year I picked someone since I didn't want a vote for Nadar to take a vote away from Bush.

Re: Not to knock all the Nader voters, but...
I voted ofr NAder in 2000. i love ralphn nader, but I think he's being a reall A-hole...I saw him on meet the press and he was asked if it was 5 minutes until the polls closed in ohio and it was 49% and 49%, and won of his supporters called and asked 'whos hould I vote for?' he would still tell him to vote for him. According to the iddeals of nader and msot of his supporters, kerry would be better for america...

Re: Not to knock all the Nader voters, but...
I think a lot of people vote for 3rd party candidates (like Nader) to give them support. If they get enough votes, we don't need to be a two party country anymore.I voted third party today - I voted for Kerry, but I voted in the Working Families box, rather than the Democrat box.
I'd love to see another party actually be able to realistically challenge Democrats & Replublicans.

My mom voted for him because she doesn't like Kerry or Bush. I told her she should vote for whoever she thinks not as worse as the other (Kerry). But she voted for Nader. No matter, Kerry got NY anyway.

I would vote a third party but this race is too close to do that.I don't care for either of them but I can't stand GW so my vote went to Kerry to try to boot him out of office but it doesn't look like that's going to happen

So would I. Particularly since the candidates put forward by the two 'major' parties have been seriously lacking in recent years.

Re: Not to knock all the Nader voters, but...
What's everyone's beef with Nader - it doesn't matter. He didn't get nearly the number of votes in any state to have made a difference for Kerry. Iowa and New Hampshire were the closest - NH was won by Kerry so it's irrelevant. In Iowa, there's a current difference of 15,625. Nader only received 5,743 votes. Give all of them to Kerry and he still doesn't win.

Re: Not to knock all the Nader voters, but...
I voted for him because I refuse to cast my vote for either Bush or Kerry. I feel that they are both going to be awful leaders. I'm tired of choosing the lesser of 2 evils. We should have more of a choice for president.

Re: Not to knock all the Nader voters, but...
First, I do think most of Nader's views are crazy but he has every right to run - but I do think that it is good he tries to challenge the 2 party system but in this close election he is not going to get much voter turnout. However, I do think it is dangerous to vote for Kerry just to vote against Bush or vice versa- that is a negative vote in my opinion and not a way someone should be elected. So the Nader vote could be used as that neutral vote but this time I dont think it is a factor .

Re: Not to knock all the Nader voters, but...
I voted Nader, he is who I believe in and I agree with him on almost everything...I might have thought about giving Kerry my vote, if I did not live in NY, but Nader won me over...I voted Nader in 2000 as well, and have been told for the last 4 yrs that I was a wasted vote. I do not believe in this, I feel that every election we face is going to be important, and there is never going to be the 'right' time to vote for Nader, or a year when Democrats don't need the vote. If Deomcrats want my vote, they need to reach me on a Nader level.Welcome New Vendors
