Not to offend any of the smokers on this board...

But I need to vent....

It is quite annoying when you are trying to walk down a crowded city street and you have a smoker infront of you blowing his/her smoke in your face!

There's nothing like second hand cigarette smoke to clear those pretty pink lungs I strive to have! AAAAHHHHHH

LOL I had a smoker vent today also!

I wish some smokers would let themselves air out before returning to the office. I have a guy here at work that STINKS. He always comes right back inside after puffing away out front and he makes the whole office wreak. He's one of those that barely blows the rest of the smoke out of his mouth before coming back into the office.

Exactly! The worst is when it happens early in the morning before breakfast! Some people just have to have that cigarette at 8 in the morning! And make me have it with the as well!

I'm with ya. I have to walk through the crowd of smokers every time I leave my building... I hold my breath every time! It's nasty. And what's worse, the building actually has outdoor heaters for them. As if they need any encouragement!!!

Kim, I couldnt agreen more...that is a constant gripe of mine...it makes me so mad...i always try to walk really fast to get in front of the smoker but it doesnt always work...

I am a smoker and I hate all those things too. People just need to learn to be more courtious of eachother. I would never smoke on a crowded street for the fear of burning someone and I never light up with non smokers around....unless i ask them if its ok first.

So we can not smoke in public buildings, movie theatres, some hotels, resturants and now bars and people are complaining about the OUTSIDE????? Its not the best habit but what should smokers do, go into a hole underground to smoke?

I quit 2 and 1/2 years ago and I still LOVE the smell of smoke - I LOVE walking behind a freshly lit cigarette! It's horrible I know and I wish it wasn't so but it is.... I'd take your place any day, Kim!

Though now I cannot stand the smell on people - if they just came in from having a cigarette. That smell grosses me out now. So I guess there's hope for me yet!

Im an ex smoker.

I smell smoke and can pretty much taste it at the edge of my tongue. Hard to describe.

I just love when people flick a butt and the cherry flies back at me. I've dodge most, but burned a nice jacket once with that.

Worse the person went for another drag and didnt know the cherry (hot part) was gone and just flicked the whole thing BEHIND them.. AT ME!

I try to walk on the other side of a smoker but sometimes it's hard.

My vent is smokers who don't properly discard their butts. Such as out the window on a highway, bad. Side of the street, bad. Parks and green areas, really bad. I mean I understand the trash is a fire hazard but spit on the butt if you're that worried.. use the coke can trick.. Something.. Even when I smoked I tried not to make a mess!

ETA: I don't think the smell bothers me.. but I like it better if it's a brand I used to smoke!!

All I am saying is people need to be a little considerate of others. maybe stand in a corner and suck on your cancer stick. A little sarcasm, sorry, it just came out. I understand it is a horrible habit to break, but why should I suffer when I am not addicted to nicotine?

Kim by all means you should not suffer because i smoke, and as soon as the city offers me a place for smokers you wont have to tolerate it.

That underground hole isn't such a bad idea...

I agree, smokers should have a place to smoke where non-smokers don't have to go.

But I think the reason for the new non-smoking laws is to get more people to quit being it is a hassle to find a place you CAN smoke.

I hear the patch works.....

To be honest I am quitting myself because we are TTC and I want a smoke free enviorment for my baby.

But I also dont believe that people who smoke should be treated like leapords.. and i most CERTAINLY DO NOT agree with the ban on smoking in bars...
