Not to sound cheap

How come to get hair and makeup done is so expensive? I called a place that I used to go to get my hair done and for a trial and day of for hair and makeup was more than half less than what I've seen.

Well you are also paying for their time...They have to travel to come to you, sometimes this is very early in the morning or out of their way...Also it can take two hours or more, plus with traveling time it does take up a couple of hours in their day.

But some of the quotes I got were not them comming to me......me driving to them on the day of....I dont know, Im not into makeup (wear it only really when I go out) and thats alot of $$ IMO for just the one day.

YEah it is alot for make up dont get me wrong...The ones where you go to them should not charge as much IMO

I'm with you on this one! I feel like as soon as you mention the word wedding the price jacks up. It's crazy, I need to go into the wedding business!!!

I thought the same thing. I also dont understand why it costs more for the bride when my make up seemed the same as my moms and my BMs. I can understand hair costing more but make up is make up. Oh well, its over and done with for me and it was totally worth it. I can do my own make up pretty good when I want to but having it professionally done really does add a nice touch. JMO.

If you find a Mary Kay consultant you can have her teach you and the BMs to apply the makeup yourselves before during a trial and the consultants will even do you wedding day makeup.

I agree! W T F? I really wanted airbrush but screw that I am getting regular old make up for half the cost..>I am just starting my trials I can only afford 2........and I havent even called my stylist yet for my hair trial so thats another thing...they bang you out every where they can when it comes to weddings huh???
