Why is it that when a new bride comes on here people feel the need to 'show them how we roll'? REPRIMAND them for using caps and then proceed to try and be sweet and say I hope you find all the help you need here on LIW. Just because some people have pet peeves about certain things doesnt mean that others are bothered by it. If that was me getting that message for my first post I wouldnt bother to come on here anymore. All I am saying is that we should all be nice and let them learn the ropes without being critized the minute that they do something wrong in one person or the others eyes. Sorry just had to VENT!

OMG!!! I didn't realize caps was such a big thing on here!!
hmmm I hope I didn't offend anyone b/c I use caps all the time when I want to emphasize the amount of something.....(i.e. - how much I absolutely LOVE something)

According to the etiquette websites I posted in another thread - for emphasis is ok.... just all caps communicates a loudness that some people are a bit sensitive to.
Its not a 'big thing' - well it wasnt until it became one with threads like this - just something that people on all online forums point out when it happens....

I have a habit of typing with the caps on and I type in caps almost all the time on the '08 boards and I never have a problem...... I even type posts on different boards in caps because i dont realize it until i am finished and actually look up at the screen and by that poing I aint about to retype my post over again. I think this whole thread is rediclous who cares about caps or no caps if you cant read it dont read it. We are here for advice and wedding planning. I am not being nasty I just think the whole thing is rediclous. WHO CARES ABOUT CAPS. I hope everyone has a nice weekend.![]()
That happens to me toooo!!!
I guess I am not the best typer and I try to type fast when i really can't LOL I ALWAYS hit the caps lock button and I don't realize until after I am done typing because I can't take my eyes off the keyboard! I wish I could look at the screen and type!

Very true...at work I need to keep caps lock on alot. I'll end up changing it but when I start writing and see its in caps ill continue if its a short post

I definitely have to agree, my BFF/MOH always just keeps the caps lock on out of habit...she uses caps for everything not to 'shout' or to be rude....but she posted on here a bunch of times and I saw that on one of her posts someone actually told her that if she wants replies she should take the caps off because it's rude??????![]()
