not wedding related-medical question help

Hi girls, it's sunday morning 8 am and I am worried. I had just gotten my period 2 weeks ago and now I have it again.
I never had this happen before.
Anyone know why?
I am very nervous.
I first noticed a trace of blood in my urine last night and this morning it's like a period. I bleed when I urinate and had to put a pad on.
I was just at the gyn friday for an exam, didn't feel anything wrong.
Can anyone help?
(I don't wanna go to the ER)

Re: not wedding related-medical question help

Have you been sick or had a fever this month? I find that when Im sick my cycle is completely crazy.

Ive also heard this sort of bleeding is not uncommon when you're pregnant.

You probably want to call your GYN just to be on the safe side and see what she says. Unless your in pain or having severe bleeding, the ER is probably not the place.

Im not a doctor but I just wanted to answer you since not many people are online now.

Thank you.. i am sitting here refreshing the page to see if someone answers, FH is asleep and I don't wanna worry him.Have not been sick, no fever.....
No pain, just bleeding. I hope I am not pregnant!!!!My mom just asked me the same question.
I guess I'll see how the day goes and call my doctor in the AM, no one has hours today
Thanks again stef. you are a caring person, i didn't think so from the 'polyester' post (lol)

Re: not wedding related-medical question help

sometimes during ovulation i spot.. maybe your just having a heavier case than that... if your not in pain i would wait until tomorrow and call your GYN.. if you need one let me know i have a great one.. you can call and explain whats going on and maybe they will tell you what to do right on the phone.. i know mine always does....

you should go to CVS get a preg. test... that way you have peace of mind... i hope you feel better.

Re: not wedding related-medical question help

Jenn, first of all take a deep breath. Whatever is causing this won't be cured by worrying-you'll just feel worse.

I've had a trip to the gyn prompt my period. I don't know why-it's happened a couple of times.

Are you sure the blood is in your urine? Sometimes it's hard to tell exactly where it's coming from. I had a urinary tract infection a few years ago and that was one of the symptoms. I doubt it's a uti though, because the other symptom was pain.

Does your dr have an answering service for off hours? If anything gets worse you may want to call. They may be able to get a message through to him/her.

It looks like it's a beautiful day, try to get outside and breathe some fresh air...

Hope everything is ok!

Re: not wedding related-medical question help

Jenn,
I have had this happen to me a few times after having intercourse. I had asked my gyno about it and he said that it does happen to some women. It only lasted a few hours with me.
I think you should do whatever you have to do to put your mind at rest. Whether it be call your doctor and leave a message or go to the pharmacy and get a pregnancy test or even speak to the pharmacist.
I really hope everything is ok, please let us know what happens!!

It also could be stress related. They say that could happen due to stress. Are you under an stress with the planning like me sometimes?

Re: not wedding related-medical question help

i am always stressed but nothing more than usual.
didn't start working out or change routine (i don't workout at all).
gyn doesn't have an answering service today (during the week i have gotten it at times!)
guess i'll have to wait untill tomorrow. why does sh&^ like this only happen on sundays? same with toothaches.
uuggh!

Re: not wedding related-medical question help

I agree with the other girls...try not to let it drive you crazy. If you are really worried, call another GYN - call them all until you speak to someone.

Are you usually very regular? Pretty much anything can throw off your cycle (stress, sickness, etc..) so its probably nothing but better safe than sorry.

just called the gyn again & got the answering service --maybe they start late) waiting for someone to call me back--FH is so nervous. will post when i find out.

Re: not wedding related-medical question help

I once had gotten my period twice in one month. I was scared. I went to the doc and he said it happens and it's most likely because of stress. If it happens only when using the bathroom than its definitely a bladder infection. I know someone who had it like that. If it is a normal period than don't worry about it.

Re: not wedding related-medical question help

If you have blood in your urine it could be a bladder infection. Your doctor can check that. If it is a bladder infection, medication clears it up in about 3-4 days.

I'm sure its stress related. Stress is very powerful.

Good luck

Re: not wedding related-medical question help

do you use the pill? I took the first week of pills and went on vacation and forgot them at home...well that started my period 1 week later...

also are you living with another woman? sometimes our bodies will try to get on the same schedule.

but GYN will ease your mind...
