Not wedding related... Puppy related
Well, I was at the park this evening jogging with my 6 month old Siberian Husky puppy. I noticed he was getting tired so we just walked. Anyway all of a sudden his legs gave out on him and he fell to his side and started having a seizure. I was so upset and scared. His body was twitching, he was arching his back, his eyes were all over the place. It was horrible. I was crying, no one was around to help, I wasn't near my car. I didn't know what to do. I've never witnessed anything like that before. I thought he was going to die right there. It's never happened before. Of course the vet is closed. I just hope that it's not anything serious. He's only a baby!!! He's my baby! After 30 seconds, maybe 1 minute, he stopped. All I could do was pet him and talk to him. Does anyone have any idea what could of caused this??? He always goes to the park with me, so it's not because of that. I don't know! Sorry, I just needed to talk about it. Thanks!

This happened to my dog once, and I didn't know what to do. We brought her to the vet, and they said that she was fine. This happened about 4 years ago (she is 8 now) and it hasn't happened again.

That happens to my friends dog once every six months or so....I forgot what the vet diagnosed. I will find out and post. Her dog is fine though so I wouldn't worry too much! :)

Former vet tech
I used to be a veterinary technician- dogs have seizures just like people for different reasons-your vet can do some test-If anything happens and your vet is closed there are 24-hour animal hospitals on long island-one in coram and one in plainview that I know of. I'm sure it's not because of the park. Good luck

Puppy Seizures
I know I have heard of someone's dog having this and they put the dog on medication and it seems to help.

Melissa-is everything OK?
I hope so! My friend's puppy was recently diagnosed w/some sort of dog epilepsy. He's fine, just needs to take medicine. I'd recommend to get to the vet as soon as you can. It's probably nothing, but better to be overcautious. IMHO, of course. Give the pup a belly scratch from me!!
