Who was your favorite player from the 1986 team?

Mine was Lenny Dykstra. I absolutely loved him.

Once the team has some momentum, he screws everything up. They should of won the game on Sunday.

I was supposed to be there saturday but couldn't make that game...I'm kind of relieved I didn't go!!
The weird thing about Benitez is--his numbers are actually really really good! He's just sooo scary!!

I know, it is scary. He will get his 45 saves but when it comes to games that count, he screws up.

I work in an office of all Yankee fans..it's so brutal!

I recently told my boss I'd rather quit than go to an office outing at Skankee Stadium.

Same here!! There used to be this guy who worked here...he used to give me the hardest time about it. He quit 7 months ago and I haven't heard from him since. Then, on opening day when they lost, he magically called me to shoot off his mouth. Idiot.
I think men like to gang up on women sports fans because they think they know better.

The subway series killed me. I knew I was going to hear it from every Yankee fan I know about how they beat the Mets. Ugh. That was the worst! I do NOT take it lightly when people give me flack about the Mets. I HAAAAAAAAAAATE the Yankees.

It's not just the guy/girl thing...this stuff happens to my FH also. All the time. For some reason, people think that being a Skankee fan gives them license to insult the crap out of you.

It's unbelievable...
you know, last year at one of the games (the one Clemens pitched at Shea)...I saw a Yankee fan actually pee on a Mets fan!!!
Of course--and not to offend--not all Yankees fans are this bad..there are some jerky mets fans too.

I was just noticing how absolutely awesome Piazza looks this season!

I loved Keith Hernandez from the '86 team. I used to have a Hernandez jersy and my Met Cappage Patch Kid (did anyone else have one of them?!) I named Keith, which is actually really funny b/c that's my DH's name!

Hernandez used to live by my old apartment and we ran into him a few times. I also saw Leiter at the school I used to work at. He was there to enroll his daughter. I asked the woman at the front desk if I could have the paper where he signed in to the building, but she wouldn't let me have it.

Good win tonight. Benitez actually didn't blow it! It was pretty scary at the end, though.

In '86 I was a huge Lenny Dykstra fan! ( I even got his autograph and gave him a kiss on the cheek!.....Okay I know I'm a geek, but I was like 14 yrs old! It was a HUGE deal back then! My ****ty friend I was with asked him for a kiss on the lips! hahaha...he just stared at her! )

I was there on Sunday to see Benetiz blow it...I was upset they lost but the fans are really brutal on Benitez. I am not his biggest fan by any means but I kind of felt bad for him. They were booing him as soon as he took the mound. They say he always blows big games - but that wasn't a big game Montreal vs NY in April?? If you look at the guys stats - I think he only blew 3 last year (I think at least one was an Atlanta game). He has one of the highest Saves/Blown saves percentage in baseball.

Although I do have to watch thru my fingers when he pitches - he always manages to scare me (same as Franco!)

(My DH is a Yankee fan - how do you like that yuck! We went to the last game of the Word Series a few years back - so sad!!!)

We're another mixed couple! I'm a huge Met fan, and my husband is a big Yankee fan. Makes for interesting watching on the home front.

I have a Saturday ticket plan with the Mets, so if anyone ever wants to buy tickets. . . . .
