Nov. 4th Brides!!

I had a cousin in Staten Island call me frantic yesterday thinking that the marathon was on the 3rd & that she wouldn't be able to make it out to the Island, but it turns out she was wrong - the marathon is on the 4th.

If you have people coming in from the city, etc. you might want to start getting the word out about alternate routes to the Island. Here are the closings: NY Marathon Closings

Thanks! Nov 4th brides should also know that Nov 4 is the end of daylight savings time. Make sure you tell your guests to set their watches and hotel clocks back an hour so they don't show up early And tell your vendors too! I'm happy because we have to start hair at 7 so I get an extra hour sleep

I would have been seriously flipping out if it was the other way around and everyone had the potential to be an hour LATE - especially my vendors!!! At least this way if someone makes a mistake it would just be funny...

We're getting married on Nov. 3rd and very happy about the time change that night since we're having an after-party we'll have an extra hour of partying!!

I forgot about the marathon until I had a guest decline b/c he's running the next day and has been training for 2 years. I was like, yeah, likely excuse!

Hmmmmm....eating, drinking & partying OR running a marathon. Um, yeah - that's an easy one for me...I think that would-be guest needs to get his priorities in order!! JK
