Does it ever snow in New York anymore???

Go for it, if you want a Winter Wonderland get it! A few 10ers are doing a winter wonderland in January so hopefully them chime in.

I am doing winter wonderland in January, which it never snows Jan 2nd, we usually dont get snow until February

You can do any kind of theme that you want to, its your wedding

I am doing winter wonderland in Feb. When I think of November I think more of rich fall tones and sun flowers. But if you want to stay away from that a great alternative is CHOCOLATE AND DEEP RED. There was an episode on Platinum Weddings last year and the girl used these colors. Very nice.

I am doing winter wonderland as well. Everything in blues. More like snowflakes. The RH will be decorated for the holidays still.

Like the other girls said, its your wedding, so do what you want!

November makes me think of chocolate brown, ivory, burnt orange, and sunflowers. but your profile says mid-november so i think you can go either way.. fall or winter!

november makes me think of icy blue and white theme, to go with the wintery weather...and you can give christmas ornaments as favors

I don't know how you feel about this, but a masquerade theme can be pulled off really nicely too. But I do like your idea of a winter wonderland. By the time november comes, people are already in the holiday spirit so it'll be great!

you could do a fall theme lots of orange and reds and tans .... i think it fits more for the time ....

Re: Nov wedding in need of theme

I was thinking again. The Christmas/Winter idea may be a little sketchy because your wedding is before Thanksgiving. You don't want your guests to feel like they are being rushed through the holidays. Just a thought.

My wedding is in February and we are doing the winter theme. Maybe instead of snowflakes you can do light blues, silver, white and brown accents. Thats what I'm doing but with snowflakes. Instead of snowflakes you can do pine cones and winter greens. If you work it the right way it can come out very classy, clean and sharp looking. And it will still work with your winter ideas but not too much of a 'wonderland'

i think you could definitely do those colors you menitoned, the ice blue etc w/o it being a winter wonderland theme (if you so chose).

actually the knot.com has a whole section w a blue white & platnimum theme -- it looks quite beautiful

i will look for it & link it id youd like!

09er crashing. Hello Ladies. I think a Thanksgiving theme would also be very exciting since your wedding is the weekend of thanksgiving week. Perhaps some type of turkey or cornicopia(sp) center pieces might be nice with it.
