November 2008 Brides

Hey Ladies!

With the New Year approaching rapidly I thought I should send a special post out to my fellow November 2008 Brides. I have a lot to do and I figured it would be best if I discuss wedding stuff with girls on a similar timeline as myself.

So feel free to post anything you like.

I got the major vendors booked, except for flowers, but I pretty much have an idea of who I'm using for that so I'm not worried.

It's the little stuff that's going to get to me - invitations, favors, placecards, etc.

Did any November brides send out Save the Date magnets yet?

I booked everything but the flowers too...i actually get all confused and freak out about the invites and favors. many disagreements, but not about the larger things lol
when i got engaged we sent out engagement annoucements with a lil save the date message at the bottom

I sent my STDs with our christmas cards b/c we have a lot of OOTers.

We have the church, hall, DJ and BM dresses.

FH and I decided to do one major vendor a month. lol.

January is transportation.
February is photo & video (we are hoping for the same company lol)
March is florist.

I've resigned myself to getting my dress by the end of January as well.

We are sending out invitations eariler than most, again b/c of many OOTers. Probably early/mid-August.

I am a little behind. I am making an effort to get my dress and to secure at least two major vendors by the end of January and try to get a releastic guest list. I also scheduled my girls first shopping outing for bms dresses in January.

But I do like that one vendor a month idea. I know my FH will love it. He just told me today no more decisions for the year and had another question for him. He could not get two off days.

we booked all major vendors we are workign on the flowers within the next 2 weeks...

we did not do STD's just announcements...

Hello November Brides....we have everything booked accept for Flowers, Limo and I need to send out my Save the dates.....still need to pick my invitations and DRESS...yikes.

I haven't done any dress shopping yet because I am trying to lose weight and it makes me nervous. This past year has gone so fast and even though we all have so much time till our weddings....it's going to be here sooner then we know it.

I really need to print out the big official list for the wedding and start checking things off.

We know who our florist will be, and she basically saved the date for us, so we are not meeting with her until February

Bumping for my November ladies

I'm in the same boat as u too...we pretty much know who we're using for flowers (family friend) and we're going to start looking for BM dresses next month at some point. I have not started a registry even though I ask FH like every day if we can go and at least start it! Hes always working, so its a pain...but hopefully will be done in the next couple weeks

I've been engaged for over 2 years already so all the major vendors are booked.

I know I am making the invites, cardbox, programs, and menus.

I plan on going next month for my dress and shortly after for BM dresses.

and of course my dress.....I'm putting off the search as long as possible but will probably start the end of the month. I have this reoccurring nightmare that I'm in my wedding dress at the altar and say 'I moo' instead of 'I do'

i'm leaving registry, tuxes, invitations, limos, favors, attendant & parent gifts for spring, as well as MOB and MOG dresses. Hair and make-up trials i will wait until September (as per my hairstylist's suggestion).
I am going to look for MOH dress next week, but even for that i'm not in a rush. Hopefully by end of Spring my FG will have their dresses (I'm leaving that entirely to their mom).
On ebay i found my garters, ring pillow and FG baskets. I haven't decided if i'm doing a cake topper yet, but if i do, i know what i want to get. Same for toating flutes & cake set.
Honeymoon I will decide on later when we have a better idea of our work schedules.

I sent out STD postcards right before New year's eve, and I've set up our wedding website.

I've identified a hotel we'd like to block off rooms for our OOT guests...just need to go see it and do it. And hopefully we'll also get OOT an airline discount.

I think I'm pretty much on track.

I know Im a freak....Iwanted to get it all booked as quickly as possibly for two reasons. One being I am a teacher and Im working on my masters degree so my time is limited, and two being that alot of my friends kept scaring me and telling me that If i knew what I wanted I should book it asap so that its not taken by another bride. Its all the little things that I feel like im forgetting but I know I have plenty of time toremember. Has anyone else had nightmares about their weddings? Or am I just early on that also!

time is flying by!

i have the following booked/done:
church, rh, music, photo, video, dress, honeymoon, hair piece/jewelry

flowers, limos, and bm dresses. stds will be done/ordered by the end of this month and will start my hair/make up trials soon.

my registry was done before xmas - we even got stuff off of it as gifts already!!!!

im starting all my diy projects in feb and getting stuff for invites together...i dont want to be rushing and crazy up until last days before the wedding.

wow you girls are really diligent!!! IM SO JELOUS!!
