Now I know what they mean about cold feet!!

FH and I are going to Cancun Wednesday morning for 3 nights. He completely freaked me out the other day but I didn't show it. We were driving in the car and out of nowhere he says 'would you want to get married when we go to Cancun?' I was like WHAT????? I told him that we don't have our wedding ringsd and I don't have a dress but really I had cold feet for a second there. I know I love him and want to marry him but almost 3 years to two weeks is a big jump. When you plan to get married in 2009 you feel like there's plenty of time but when he asked it would be 2 weeks till we would be married. I was just kinda shocked... I asked him what made him ask that and he said he was thinking of it and wanted to be spontaneous. That was just a little too spontaneous for me Maybe he's finally realizing how much a wedding costs. Or maybe when I told him in the past to be more spontaneous finally sunk in but why don't they ever get it right??? Some things just aren't meant to be spontaneous.

I think your FH was being very sweet. I've been reading on the boards how much of a tough time you're having finding an RH, and I think your FH sounds like he was thinking, 'oh, scr*w it; I really want to marry this girl and it's causing us so much stress - why don't we just do it now and be happy?' A little unrealistic maybe, but his heart was in the right place.

And I don't think you were feeling cold feet as much as shock! No worries! Have a great time in Mexico.

Thanks guys! I know his heart was in the right place, he's a good guy! He definately caught me off guard though... I hope we don't get too drunk and wind up doing it Then I can come back and post my review of my drunken Cancun wedding complete with my ring pop wedding ring
