I sent them out within a week for my e-party gifts and my shower, but I am crazy busy and with all the summer holiday stuff, I have been slcaking - please tell me I have not reached faux paus yet...

You're not late at all. Most brides have to wait a couple of months to get their thanks yous back from the photographer.

Please do not be paranoid...I went to a wedding last august...still no thank you....a wedding in january....no thank you....two in may....no thank you's yet (wow i have some crappy friends) hehe

See - I dont want people to think that way about me - I may not even be doing the picture thank yous for everyone - just for the peple I know who would actually want the picture of me!!!

can you ask your photographer to go ahead and give you the cards itself that you would put the TY photo in, and that way you can go ahead and prepare the TY's and when the pic is ready, you just pop the TY pic in!

Liza, are you crazy? I got married June 28th and just got the proofs on Friday. We have to pick a picture and then it will take another 20 days to get the thank-yous back and THEN we have to write them all. Our guests will be lucky if they get their thank yous by the end of August.

Liza - you have a year! Most people send them sooner, but really you have a year. Post on the newlywed board. All the married brides will tell you how long it really takes to get them out. Some 2 months, some 4, some 6 and yes some 1 year. Don't stress!!!!

I'd send them all out now-ish and then send pics to those you deem worthy later (buy some hallmark cards and say, 'thanks again for sharing our special day with us. we wanted you to have a picture from our wedding to remember the day. thanks/sincerely, liza and angelo')

You've still got time, sweetie. We just finished ours yesterday, except for people who came to the wedding, but didn't give gifts and vendors. So you have at least another month!

You actually have up to a year! People also have a year to give you a gift as well!
Listen, I got married February 25th, I got my proofs at the end of March and then I didn't get my TY notes from my photographer until the end of April. DH and I moved in May and I finally got my TYs out by June 8th.
You haven't even been married a month yet! Relax!

4 - 6 months is standard, especially if you are including a photo.

Don't worry, I haven't done mine yet. But I'm starting tonight. I hope to have them out by the end of july. That is 6 weeks roughly, and that is fine by me. But I am not doing a picture thank you so I can just write them and be done with it. For girls that do thank yous with professional pics, I imagine you have to wait for them and then you take longer for the thank yous to be sent.

I don't think you're late, people usually wait until after the honeymoon and until they get their proofs back and stuff.
