I have called Tarale (hair) 4 TIMES since week before last and she STILL hasn't called me back.....anyone else having problems getting in touch with her? Honestly, I am about to say forget it and book someone else who has the time to call back their clients........I mean, she is SO SWEET and I don't want to be mad at her, but COME ON! I called you 4 times already!
What do you guys think???? I just wanted to tell her to add on 3 BM's for her to do on my wedding day including me....no big deal and I have a year...but am I wrong to feel this is unprofessional? Also, I never signed any kind of contract, and so it makes me nervous...what if she cancels at the last minute?
So...what do you ladies think?????
ETA: SHE CALLED BACK! she was on vacation in Mexico and forgot to change her voice mail message to let everyone know. She was on a boat she said and her phone didnt have a signal.......

Here are my thoughts: This is obviously the way she is - many brides have replied to you and confirmed that she is hard to get a hold of, so if you feel this way now, a year before the wedding, imagine how you'll feel closer to when you need to talk to her and can't...I would book someone who is more reliable and professional and gets back to you in a timely fashion.
You feel this way a year before...and that is how you are...realize how you are, and make a decision based on that. You won't be able to deal with this the weeks right before your wedding - and you shouldn't have to!
More laid back brides might do great with her b/c they won't mind her taking forever to call back, so she would be a great option for them.
Me, I'm a planner and extremely organized - I am like you, and would not be able to deal with someone like her.

Yup and out driving somewhere usually! IMO...she is worth the hassel but if you are going to stress then i dunno maybe look else where.. I am freaking out BUT i am going to call all venders about 3 weeks before and give friendly reminders

deep breaths! Im scared og her and my mak-up girl too b/c they are soooo busy. I have talked to Taralei 2x and both times she was driving in the car and had to pull over to talk. I truly do think she is THAT busy. Doesnt ease your mind I know, but give it a little bit more time ok???

Sorry, but if someone has bad business habits (even if she is swamped with clients all day) I don't book. What if she is so busy she forgets your day? Double books? Oversleeps? It's extremely unprofessional behavior, even if she is 'sweet' or 'really talented.'
We all deal with extremely busy vendors who manage to find the time or hire an assistant to handle their calls. She has poor time management and organization skills.
Impressions are everything, and even if you are getting married in 2007, she should have called you back. Plain and simple. You feel uneasy now...what about a week before the wedding when you have an important change to make in schedule and she doesn't call you back or have room on her voicemail for messages....
I would be just as frustrated, and I would totally book someone else.
Sorry, sounded like a hard ***, but bad business people piss me off...

if you still don't get a call back by the end of next week, call City Slickers and complain to Sal, the owner. i know that he doesn't 'own' her, but it needs to be addressed that she is not acting professionally. if she is on vaca, thats a different story, but give her time to get back to you.

For the record, I spoke with Wendy, who is doing my makeup and who set me up with Taralei in the first place, tonight. I mentioned your problem, Denise, and Wendy said that she would mention that you are trying to get a hold of her, but that Taralei, and most hair/makeup artists have to have priorities about things, and weddings that are This weekend are going to take a higher priority than weddings a year from now, which I am SURE you understand, Neesie.
I wouldn't worry about it too much. And don't you worry your pretty little head about me beacuse I'm MAD calm.

I had my second hair trial with her last week. She told me alot in her life is changing, so that me be why she is so busy.
I would be patient.
Shea had her for hair last weekend PrincessRose will have her this weekend and then I think Ireneinchicago in Sept and a couple of more brides in September, then me on Oct 1st, Chris605 and Oct2004Bride on Oct 2nd. So, wait and read our reviews before making your decision.
Because she is an excellent stylist.

I would try to relax because you do have a lot of time. She isprobably just really busy with other clients. She will call you-just wait and see what she ahs to say. If she is worth it-give her the benefit of the doubt
