Now that we posted 'we knew it was over'

How about... you knew FH was 'the one' when...........

I was sick and he came over with a brand new bed in a bag.
He picked me up out of bed, put me on the chair and made me a whole new bed!!!! We were only dating 3 months but no one has ever done anything like for me before. I've only dated knuckleheads. So for the first time ever, I was treated like a girl should be.

I knew he was the one when he said he would go to a cousin's Bar Mitzvah with me after a month and a half of dating where my whole father's side of the family would be there. He made it through like a trooper.

I knew he was the one when after knowing me for 2 months he flew to Israel to visit me for 10 days while i was studying in Jerusalem.

The night we met. We were together that night as if we had been together for years. So strange, but I just knew it. And I think that him having me meet his family and friends the weekend we met solidified it for me.

Many things....the fact that he actually called me the day after our first date..VERY IMPRESSED WITH THAT!!

He was coming to family functions very early on!

ETA I also told him very early that I thought he could be 'the ONE' and he also agreed

I knew he was the one when I was laying in bed starring at our picture on my nightstand and started crying because I was so happy. I just had this incredible feeling of contentment. That was the 1st time I ever cried happy tears.

We had been dating for 2 years (but we were only 19 & 2). I was having severe lower abdominal pains, and went to my university health center. After a checkup at the health center, and a negative preggo test, they sent me home and told me that if it got any worse, to go to the ER.

Well that evening, it DID get worse. Rich drove from Cortland to Albany in about 2 hours (unheard of - it's usually 2.5-3 hrs.) and took me to the ER. After waiting with me allllll night, while I was poked, prodded, etc with legs spread open for the world to see, I was left alone in a room. They were short-staffed, and hadn't gotten around to getting me my cathetar yet. They scared the CRAP out of us with the possibility of an ectopic pregnancy, but then came to the conclusion (after external AND internal ultrasound) that I had ruptured several ovarian cysts.

I was jacked full of morphine, and I could barely stand up, but i had to pee sooooooo badly. Rich CARRIED ME TO THE BATHROOM, and held me over the toilet while I peed. (He knows my phobia of public toilet seats - he didn't let an inch of my skin touch the seat!). Over the next few days, he stayed with me and made sure I stayed hydrated, fed me, brought me blankets, took them off when I was warm, etc. Held my hair while I puked from the vicodin, even held me up in the shower when I was too weak to stand up. Amazing, amazing, amazing.

I can't believe that a 20yr old guy was sooooo amazing in a situation like that - I never looked at him the same way again. At that very moment, I knew it was going to be FOREVER.

When he would sit with my father through his cancer treatments and would stay with me in the hospital watching over him.

I love my baby.

I knew he was the one because on our 6 month anniversary of dating he left for boot camp. We werent aloud to see or speak to each other for 3 entire months, only letters. I wrote him a letter a day and only recieved a handful from him because of time constraints. It was the worst pain I had ever elt to be separated from him.

Anyway, the moment that sealed it was when I went to his graduation and saw him again for the first time. I was SOOOOO proud and filled with such love and we had the best hug

I was trying to answer this question in our Wedding Scrapbook but it was rough. We weren't doing so well between say..2000 and 2002. By 2002 I had grown tired of all the stupid petty fights we were having and I just started hanging in my own clique and so did he. He was taking me home in the spring of '02 and he said he wanted to be my best friend. No man had ever said that to me and I decided to try and give it another shot. I'm really glad I did.

we were only dating a little over 3months and i was having severe stomach problems and was vomiting nonstop and had to have an endoscopy and colonscopy done in a week. he drove from west islip to queens and he stayed with me through all the bathroom issues and the prep before the colonscopy which for me was a 3day prep since i was still so sick i couldnt get the liquid they make you drink down so instead i had to do triple dose of laxatives for 3 nights straight(sorry i know TMI) but he stayed with me through it all, and to this day over 4 years later 95% of the dr. appts i have whether its a followup or a checkup hes there with me. if thats not love i dont know what is

I knew he was the one when he said 'if this is love, I've never been in love before!' and followed w/ way way way too many compliments! you can never get sick of being told that you're gorgeous, no matter how embarassed you feel!

He knew when we were 18 - he actually told me 'I'm going to marry you!' and I just laughed.
I think about a 3 months into officially going out, I went to his house early one Saturday morning and he had just gotten up. He didn't see me come in and he was just standing in front of the refridgerator in his boxers, scratching his butt! I laughed but I knew it was it when I thought it was the CUTEST thing ever! SICK right!!!

I knew he was the one.. when the 2nd time we hung out.. I got drunk (it was Thanksgiving eve) and I through up on him (in the bar) and he had to carry me out of the place.. left his friends behind

He cleaned me up.. put me in his brand new car (loves his car more then anything) took me to get something to eat.. and called me the next day to see how I was and if I need anything...

We been together ever since....
