I was questioned by a member of FH's family because 2 of my 3 girls (convienently NOT the one in FH's family) want strapless or tank strap dresses.

Apparently FH's family discussed it - WITHOUT ME AROUND- and decided that the girls should have LONG SLEEVED BM DRESSES.

um, helllloooooo - MY WEDDING! And WHERE exactly do you want me to find these long sleeved dresses?!?!

Sometimes people should just SHUT IT!!!

I was in a bridal party where one of the BM's threw a fit because the dress didn't have sleeves and she doesn't like her arms. The wedding was Memorial Day weekend! The bride said it was fine to get a wrap but asked that she not wear it for pictures. She showed up with it sewn to her dress so we couldn't ask her to take it off! I don't know what's wrong with people sometimes.

I don't know if this is an option for you, but I picked a designer and a color and I'm letting them pick their dress. So that each person could get something that compliments their body. One of my girls hates her arms, so she picked a dress that has a wrap, my sister has huge boobs so she got a halter for more support and so on...

i have 4 girls in my bridal party and one definitely wants to cover her arms. i basically told them to look at dresses by a cetain designer in a certain color. well, finding a dress with sleeves just didn't happen, but they all decided on one dress -- a dress that could have sleeves added to it pretty easily. so, my 2 matron of honors will just have a wrap and my other 2 bridesmaids will have the 3/4' sleeves. that was good enough for me.

I had to wear at least 3/4 length b/c my bros wedding was orthodox jewish in November. It was 70 degrees that day. We ended up getting bolero jackets b/c there are NOOOOOOOOOOOO dresses w/ long sleeves that are remotely flattering.

Shopping for BM dresses was the most difficult part of this whole process because no one could agree. Your the bride and your opinion overrides everyone elses. Too bad for them.

Oh my god! The SAME thing is happening with my MOH's wedding! Her FSIL has been demanding that the bridal shop sew not only the wrap to her dress but she wants them to attached 'sleeves' to a Strapless dress!!! MOH headed her off and told the bridal shop not to put anything permanent onto the dress and put snaps on it. This woman has been IMPOSSIBLE during the whole process. As my friend's MOH I have volunteered to take this be-otch down if she shows up with sleeves

pashminas, boleros, shrugs, etc...all good ideas! but when has anyone even seen a long sleeved BM dress made lately? or a nice looking one ever??? theyre really 'old' looking IMO. yikes!!
