NRC - UPDATE.......PLEASE READ.

Ok girls, I just got off the phone with my banquet manager. They HAVE NOT said anything to the family about money NOR were they ever planning to ask for the balance due. They have heard about the fact that it's posted on here about them asking for money and are devastated that anyone would say that without any valid evidence.

They have not commented to the newspapers or media at all, and said that the LAST thing on their minds right now is the money. They are grieving for Ms. Le as well. As a matter of fact, they did not even bring any brides in for appointments on Sunday.

So, to all of the NRC brides, you can feel comfortable knowing that our RH is doing everything they should be doing and are not being the heartless, cold people that others are making them out to be.

I thanked my BM for her honesty, and told her I was going to post this as I think everyone needs to know the truth. I also explained that as much as I can read on the internet, I wanted to hear the answer for myself and that was why I called.

Hope this clears up the confusion for everyone..........and remember........only take everything you hear and read with a grain of salt, until you confirm things for yourself.

So maybe......just maybe.......the other girl's post last night wasn't fake and some people may have jumped to conclusions????

ETA: I forgot to mention. My BM told me the last time they have spoken with anyone from either family was last week when they heard she was abducted. Her fiance's parents offered to pay everything and NRC told them to concentrate on finding her instead.

when i saw the orginal post yesterday i think my first question was how did you hear about this?
i googled to see if i could find the story in the paper or on the news and i found nothing.
thats why i didnt respond to the drama post last night from the newbie.

again, i am so glad you were able to talk to someone. maybe the drama will stop because you are not a newbie

just as a side note, I didnt think she was a fake, just had a problem with her knocking down us posting here. I had problem with her comments about us, not her defending NRC

I think many people felt the same way Regy, but, someone did accuse her automatically of being fake and I can't say I wouldn't have acted the same way. She probably wouldn't have made those comments if she wasn't automatically attacked.

Exactly. I agreed with her comment and hoped that the 'rumor' wasn't true, but what bothered me was the fact that she basically called us losers for planning 'our entire weddings' on here.....then i called her a lurker or fake bride....my bad! just kind of hard to understand why someone who signed up here to plan there wedding was bashing us for resorting to a website to plan ours?

I am glad that rumor has been put to rest!

It is nice to know that they are doing the right thing by the family who has suffered enough already. Thank you for clearing that up... like I said I didn't mean that post to be an accusation of anything. I really only wanted to know if anyone on here had heard anything different since people at work were talking about something a family member had said on the news. I am really not one to ever start I was just as shocked as anyone else when I heard it. I never meant it as an insult to anyone's choice of hall so if anyone took it that way I apologize for that. I honestly was just wondering if that could have possibly been true and if anyone had heard anything. So thank you Laura for calling and asking.

I am very happy to hear it. I think we all thought it was a little ubsurd (and quite possibly a rumor), yet have heard soooo many horror stories about vendors that it didn't seem impossible.

Glad all you NRC girls can feel as good about your choice as you did before this tragedy ever even happend.

I wouldn't have acted that way if I wasn't attacked right off the bat! Glad everything is cleared up & I wasn't calling anyone a loser I just joined and am learning about everything on here! I was concerned myself beacuse I am booked at NRC & a friend told me to check out what was going on.
