Hey everyone! Does anyone have any recommendations for a coffee maker that makes really strong coffee? I'm not a coffee drinker, but FH is and he likes it real strong! we tried a kurig and he hated it and said the coffee was too weak. any suggestions???

If there is a flavor coffee that your FH likes, you could purchase a separate, reusable plastic K-cup that's called My K-cup and use ground coffee....it still makes one cup at a time.

My advice if you already have a Kurig is to get the Emeril's Big Easy Bold k-cups....so good and strong!

If he likes strong coffee and is the only coffee drinker, I would get a french press! You'll have to heat the water separately and then it steeps int he pot for a few minutes, but its the strongest/freshest coffee you can get! Especially if you get a coffee bean grinder!
FH and I are big coffee drinkers! lol! We have a keurig for daily to go cups, a Mr Coffee for company and a french press for a perfect cup when we have leisurely sat/sun monrings. :)

Keurig has different brands of K-cups. Maybe find the brand coffee he likes and get that. try some sampler packs?
Green Mountain Bold from costco is the cheapest i think, dunkin donuts from dunkin donuts, starbucks k-cups, etc etc.
I like dunkin donuts coffee, not a fan of the others that much.
Keurig is the most convenient thing ever really.
Or like ptj said get the reusable cup and use the coffee grinds he likes.
I'm no longer into coffee so I don't know what is considered strong.
Or if he wants to spend lots of time in the morning making STRONG 'coffee' get an espresso machine/espresso grinds/tamper and a lot of patience and will to clean it up.

There's actually a k cup for Keurig that's called Jet Fuel. A friend of ours LOVES strong BLACK coffee and he gets this. I swear it's like drinking tar!

keurig makes a separate filter thing i believe so that you can use your own ground coffee if you wish...
does your FH drink espresso? nespresso has espresso makers similar to keurig...my entire family and my FH's entire italian family (huge esperesso drinkers) all think it makes the best cup of espresso we've ever had...sooo strong!

OMG this is so funny!! I just told my coworker about this b/c she loves dark coffee. haha.
