Numbering response card
I know a lot of people do this. Does the number mean how many people are attending or the number how its being mailed out

I am putting #'s on the back of my response cards to correspond to a list that I will be making so that I can keep track of who has not yet RSVP'd or who RSVP'd but didn't put their names. From friends that have already been married, they warned me of people just checking 'will attend' or 'will not attend' and NOT putting their names! With the # on the back, you will be able to see who on your list that card belongs to.
i did it and got a handful without names on them and doing this helped a lot! just make sure that the list you use to number the cards is the same list you refer to. i had so many lists at one point that i had to throw them away, i was getting it all mixed up!
just did it last night! i numbered every person/household i'm inviting (in alphabetical order) and then i numbered my response cards to correspond. i'm going to make a #'ed list and just check off the numbers as they come in.
