Is anyone numbering the response card (rsvp) from the wedding invitations, in case people don't write their name on the card? I'm making up a master list of all the guests, numbering them and putting a little number in back of the response card, just in case. It will be easier to track down who forgot to put in their name!

Re: numbering response cards?
I am definitely doing this! I will be putting a number in pencil on the back of the rsvp card.

I am definitely doing this also!!! I have read too many of the posts on here where girls have gotten them back with no names and now they have no clue who sent it to them!!!!!

Re: numbering response cards?
i did this and is used an UV pen to do this so that my guests wouldn't be able to see their number until I put it under a black light (it came with the pen) when I got the cards back.

Re: numbering response cards?
we did this. It did make it a little more complicated while we were putting the invites together but hopefully it will make it easier with the responses. so far everyone has put their name on the rsvp.

Re: numbering response cards?
I told my FH we had to do this and he couldn't understand it......he said if anyone was dumb enough to forget to write their name then they didn't deserve to come to the wedding!!! =) Anyway ...we have 45 responses so far and no one has forgotten.... I am dying for at least one person to forget so I can prove him wrong and that it was really worth our time to do it!

Re: numbering response cards?
I didn't, I only got 2 back w/out names written on them and I figured out who they were pretty easily. I would reccommend it though especially if you have a lot of OOT guests.

Re: numbering response cards?
I did this with my response cards and while I didn't use it all that often, it came in handy for those cards that came in with no name on it and no return address on the envelope. I would definitely recommend doing it!

Re: numbering response cards?
I did this.....so far we've received a lot of responses, and haven't had to use the list since everyone put their name. So it wouldn't stand out, I lifted the envelope flap on the lefthand side and numbered it on the inside of the envelope.

Re: numbering response cards?
Definitely will do this! I have heard that sometimes people forget to write their names and just throw it in the mail.

Re: numbering response cards?
I did...but I really didn't have to- everyone knew to write their names. Although they were a bit confused about the perforated postcard.

Re: numbering response cards?
Yeah, we did this.
And it was funny cause I told my mom I was doing this and explained the reasoning to her and she thought I was nothing less than a genius! lol But then I had to break it to her that I didnt come up with it myself....I got it from the girls on LIW! lol

Re: numbering response cards?
We did. We have not had any problems with guests not filling out the RSVP card but if we do this will come in handy.
