Okay so my mom has been in a nursing home for 3 years now and is in a wheelchair but she can stand to pivot. Problem is that the majority of my family is out of state so when they cone to my wedding they won't be able to pick her up and help her get ready. I'm looking for someone that could pick her up at her nursing home, drive her to the hotel so she can see me get ready and She can get her hair and make-up done and then have someone drive her to the catering hall and take care of her during the wedding. She's on oxygen so I'd need someone that can handle carrying the small tanks for her as well. Does anyone know of anyone? I was going to hire one of the aides that take care of her but her nursing home is closing and we have to find my mom a new nursing home so the guarantee of te aide we were going to have may not work since she will be in a new job by then. Help!

My mom is a nurse and knows a lot of nurse's aides and I'm a special ed. teacher and I know of several aides who work in my school and also have second jobs as nurse's aides so they are all well-versed in caring for those in need. Let me know if you'd like me to contact any of them.

I was a Private duty home health aide,I did this for many years before I went to nursing school, some of my patients needed me to drive them to dr. appointments, family events such as bbq's and small family gatherings in which i stayed and tended to all of their needs.... believe it or not craigslist might have somebody offering their services, I had gotten one for my mother off there and she was great... i'm sorry I do not remember her name though. don't go through a company such as utopia home care... places like this often have restrictions... private duty is the way to go.

That would help out so much! I'm stressing over this in the worst way as I'm always the one that takes care of my mom and drives her around and all. I'm a nurses aide as well in a nursing home and I was thinking of having one of my coworkers do this but the girls I trust I want them as guests at my wedding. So if you know anyone that's available on August 31 please let me know.Welcome New Vendors
