nutrisystem

Joey and I are starting next week for a month to see how we do-- has anyone tried it?

I'm getting desperate :(

last year i went to have Lap Band Surgery-- and my stomach perforated on the operating table and so i had to have emergency stomach surgery-- it was a terrible experience and i'm finally feeling better a year later-- but its depressing at the same time because here i am 11 months later and only a few pounds lighter :( where i expected to weigh a lot less by now since i was having the surgery ... i dont know i gues because its nearing the one year mark im getting all depressed about it

sorry for venting... if you read this your the best!!!

My best friend, her fiance, her dad, and his mom all have been on it for the past several months since their wedding is next month. They all lost a ton of weight. I think the groom's mom lost 50ish lbs last I heard.

Re: nutrisystem

lizzie - I did it last year to lose some weight before the three bridal parties I was in. it worked very well. the food isn't HORRIBLE but after a while you get sick of it. I have heard that enny craig is better... but a lot more expensive.
I was on the flex plan. it was 5 days on their food and 2 days off. it was cheaper than the others. (thats the main reason why i did it)
I was also the type of person that can't diet without someone telling me EXACTLY what to eat and then making it for me haha. I could never do WW - b/c i'd cheat haha.
on my flex days I didn't go crazy, but I also didn't stick COMEPLETELY to the diet either. I would allow myself a splurge once in a while. I lost 20 lbs in about 2.5 months. and kepy almost all of it off to this day (I stopped July 2 last year)

eta - if you have any questions fm me :)

I don't know anyone who did this but my FH's Aunt and cousin did Jenny Craig and had great results. And they said the food was really, really good.

Good luck!

I've done it and never knew about the flex plan! How much was that???

I've done it twice, and I really like it. It's all about the food you choose, don't do the 'Favorites' option because I feel most of those stink. Some things are awesome, some are terrible. I'd be happy to help you on that.

I tried to stick with a normal thing for me, so for example I chose:
Breakfast: Cerel
Lunch: Tuna or chicken salad (I would cheat and have it on the sandwhich thins)
Dinner: Foods I like
Dessert: Cookies!!!

I'm all about the portions being set for me. I really really enjoyed it, but it does get old after a while.

Let me know if you need any more help or info!

yeah its 5 days a week instead of 7... i think it was $215 a month with auto delivery.

DEFINITELY pick your own food! lol don't do thefavroites... they weren't my favorites, ill tell you that much lol
dinner was my favorite meal, and breakfast and desserts of course!

lunch was honestly my least favorite. but i was able to learn through their site of foods you can buy in the store to substitute for the foods... (i.e. - I eat a south beach cereal bar for breakfast every morning instead of my nutrisystem entree, and still do all the add in's)

there are things on their site that will equate an entree from them to a real food entree, which is great so u can bring in real food the more you know on the diet.
