ITA! 20-30 minutes goes by very fast when people are mingling and chatting

1) Seriously, don't worry. I can't tell you how many times FH and I have sat drinking starbucks in the car waiting the HOURS bw ceremony and reception, No biggie

2) your hall may be able to start the CH early, provide hospitality in the lobby or some combination of the two if guests show up early.

you guys that went to TWOTY saw how little of an area the 'lobby' of CLM has , not much room to mingle really....half hour isnt that big of a deal, I just dont want the abundance of OOT'ers to have nothing to do

It shouldn't be that big of a deal. Are oyu doing a receiving line, if not this would be the best time to do it, to try and kill time and not have to worry about it at the reception.

I am sure people will be talking outside the church a little and 20-30 mins will go by real quick. I wouldnt worry about it -its not like it will be 2 hrs.

if you're doing a full mass you figure you'll finish close to 5, by the time your receiving line finishes you're looking at about 5:20ish... then a ten minute drive would put you right on time

don't worry about it! fbil/fsil had a long time between theirs and we could only go in 30 minutes before ch was supposed to start but everyone went to the rh anyway and it all worked out!! no one is going to care about 20 minutes!!!!

Re: Timing has me concerned....

I would NEVER be concerned about 20-30 minutes... by the time your family all says their own hellos after you and your FH walk out of the church they will have like 5 mins to kill...

not a big problem AT ALL!

i wouldn't worry about it......that is not a big time gap at all compared to my wedding!

my church is at 2:30 and my CH is at 7:30.......i don't know what my guests will do but i can't stress about it.....they will find something to do i'm sure.....

Re: Timing has me concerned....

Also, don't forget most people stick around while you take pictures outside of church, some will want tto run back to the hotel, or will have to run to CVS to get a card (I ahve been in this istuation..LOL). Also, it's a BEAUTIFUL time of year you chose for your wedding, so people will be happy to linger outside.
