NWR-14YR OLD IN MASSAPEQUA NEEDS.......

PEOPLE TO DONATE BLOOD AND PLATLETS. MY SONS SCHOOL SENT ME A NOTICE TODAY. HE'S 14 AND GOES TO SCHOOL WITH MY SON AND UNFORTUNETLY IS GOING TO SLOAN KETTERING FOR TREATMENTS. IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO HELP PLEASE FM ME FOR MORE INFO. I TALKED TO DH AND WE ARE GETTING THE FAMILY TOGETHER AND GOING ASAP. IT'S HORRIBLE WHEN ANYONE HAS TO GO THROUGH THIS BUT IT'S WORSE TO ME WHEN IT'S A CHILD.

edit: Unfortunately I can't donate bc the next time I can is in Nov. I just gave 2 weeks ago! My prayers go out to your son's friend! I have some friends at Sloan in the Radiation Department. He is in good hands!

FYI-

Platlets can be donated every 3-4 days! It only takes 1-2 hours and the needle used is smaller than the one they use for giving blood.

Thank you anyway. I appreciate you bumping the post. From what I gather though this is not a dated donation so if your up to it in Nov. please feel free to fm me for the info. Also I just want people to understand that what ever this child doesnt use is being released to the others at Sloan in need of the donations(mostly children it says in the letter)as well.
