NWR: <3 Love My FH <3

So FH started the academy this week and it has been rough! He is up at 4:45am and is not getting home till around 7pm! Its a long exhausting day and when he comes home he eats quick and gets his stuff all ready for the next day then passes out. I feel so bad I wish I could help him more! I really don't get to spend any time with him now during the week but at least we have the weekend together! =) But anyway hes such a hard worker and I am sooo proud of him!!!! I just love him so sooo much!!!

I have one of those at home as well. They are very hard to resist! Good for FH!!!

police academy? my fiance is a police officer and i remember those grueling 6 months. it's def not easy, but so worth it. if you think you're proud of him now, just wait until the graduation! i cried my eyes out.

good luck to him.

my only advise is to cherish all the time you get with him b/c once he's on the job, you really won't get to see him much. i only see my fiance one full day a week and it sucks!

I agaree with SoonToBeMrsFox. My FH is an officer and I can't tell you how many times he gets overtime or has court. He works midnights now and I work days so we're total opposite schedules. Holidays are the worst! The week of 4 of July he had 30+ hours of overtime so it can be hard. Whenever we make weekend plans I was joke and say it comes with a 24 hr cancellation notice b/c you never know.

Hang in there... as a FW of an officer you HAVE to be flexible with your schedules, be open to him working a lot or coming home late. It's def a great job though so I can't complain. Good Luck and hang in there, it's worth it.
