Re: NWR: How would you react to this? (kinda long)
ugh what a snot... i would talk to your boss and first i would tell him that she shouldnt be allowed both holiday eves... and tell him that you told her that you wanted one eve, and she went behind your back and scheduled both days off...
second, tell him about the support group issue, but if i were you i wouldnt mention the fact that now you have more work, tell them thats not the issue... the issue is that she is deliberately doing these things in spite of you...

I dont even know what to say to that. so sorry for this situation at ur job the only thing I can think of, and this is what I apply to my work ethics/motto, is just to keep smiling and nodding ur head. I think she is trying to break u, and if u keep looking ubothered by it, she will see that her attempts are totally worthless.
about the holiday days off, I would just go to ur boss and say that its unfair for one person to get both days and it should be alternated

Wow..sorry she’s such a beyotch!!! I soooooooo know her type…
I would not deal with her at all, but go to your boss and explain to him a. that it’s not fair if you have to work both holidays b. how it doesn’t make sense to change the support group days since you guys have been doing it fine for two years the way it is HTH

Ugh sorry about this. I honestly would just bring it to your boss' attention. I think that's the only way it'll be resolved.

the only thing is that how is your relationship with your boss? some bosses will take the complaint and do the appropriate thing, but some bosses will tell the other employee that you are complaining about them and it will only complicate matters worse. usually when i complain to my boss about another staff member, she is able to handle the matter discretely without the other person knowing i complained.

I'm sorry you have to deal with this obnoxious person. I think the only way to resolve this is to speak to your boss because you have tried speaking to her and it is obviously not working. Good luck!!

i had/have a similar problem with another program in the agency- my program and their program always butt heads and we cant work together. our bosses came up with the same solution, having regular meetings. needless to say we had 1 meeting and the supervisor from that program stormed out of the meeting screaming at us. lol. so the bosses now know that this isnt the solution. they know that program is the one making trouble and that my program is trying to come up with another solution. basically we are waiting for the supervisor to retire next year. however at least our program looks good, since we are the ones who keep 'trying to work together' and we get favorable treatment by the bosses GL
