Calling all NYC Teachers!!! I'm trying to get into the public school system and I hear the freeze might be lifted for sept. Anyone know anything?

i went tonight.. i walked into the locker room and this faaaaat chinese lady was bending over bushing her hair....

SHE WAS BUCK NAKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

even if the freeze is lifted they'll prob hire from the inside first
on an upnote i heard that nys is offering tier 1 retirement incentives

im certified in elementary 1-6 but my 4 yrs experience is kindergarten and pre-k level at a private school. I will have my masters this spring also in 1-6.

Barb. im so tired lol i was at the gym tonight from 7:30-9:30 i also saw a few nude, large old women in the locker room. 1. why are they out so late at night in the cold? 2. why do they think its ok to walk around naked? it smelled like punani ugh! ( sorry but true lol)

Are you special ed? If so, you can probably try getting jobs through agency doing early intervention and preschool home services. That is what I do - the money is great, you make your own hours, and you are your own boss! FM me if you want more info on this. I started out doing it Part time while working in a private school as a head teacher during the day, but 2 years ago I left the school to do it Full time. I love it!
