NWR

some punk kids shot out the back windshield on our car with a bb gun. I'm sooo mad. And there's nothing I can do. There's no way to catch them, so they just get away with it and I'm stuck with a $500 deductible to pay.

Some idiot hit my car last month, but he is claiming he was swerving to avoid a garbage truck and claims the town should pay, so I am still trying to fight for money to fix that too!

It's not like I live in a bad neighborhood. My poor car looks so horrible now.

file a police report, IF they do catch anyone you will have proof

I filed a report with the police and they said there was a similar incident a few weeks ago, but I seriously doubt they will ever find them.

You should call safelite...

I cracked my windshield last year, and having them do a full replacement was actually lower then my deductible!!!

It's still a pain that those little a-holes got away with it, but maybe you can pay a little less then you originally thought!

That makes me furious!!

A few years ago I was at work and someone threw a brick through the back windshield of my car. They never found out who did it. To add insult to injury, it was January and was snowing.

I hope for your sake they catch those kids doing it to someone else!!

Have you called insurance? I dont have a deductable on glass. Maybe you dont either! Double check - my fiance got his glass done and it was MUCH cheaper the safelite. It was the Glass Doctor I think! We have used them twice!! Good luck. You never know - try the town - a few months back I hit a pot hole and I put in a claim and it was paid. My tire popped and I needed to be towed! It was paid in full - it turns out they were doing construction and they didnt pave the pothole!

quick update. I got the glass replaced and it was under $300. Not great, but better than I was expecting. Still would have rather spent that money on a new handbag.
