NWR: Accident

Ugh, I was in a car accident yesterday leaving work......now its going to cost us the 1K deductible to fix our car and they had to tow my car away, so I am car less I also have to go to court in NJ b/c the lady is saying she got hurt in the accident (which aggravates me b/c I have a feeling she is totally lying)....I'm sure our insurance will go up now - and to top it off i got a ticket for careless driving

What insurance do you have? Many state they won't go up due to an accident. I was in an accident in 2004 and my insurance never went up.

Are you okay though? I hope everything works out!

Awww, that *****! At least you are okay! It could have been a lot worse!

Oh no! I hope you are ok besides being stressed. Hopefully the court thing will blow over(maybe she won't show up). Good luck to you!!! In the meantime...

That stinks! Hey at least you are ok. But the lady is prob lying, she is sue happy. Looking for fast cash!

geez sorry to hear that- i am glad that you are ok- this will all get worked out- thats why you get insurance- FH was in an accident last year & his aunt was in the car & she sued us- the insurance ended up settling with her and we never had to go to court and our insurance went up a little- I hope that it works out the same for you.

& by the way- FH still wants to invite his aunt to the wedding- FMIL and I say she's out!

ETA- we have geico also- they were awesome- their lawyers were top-notch- if you need any info fm me.

Im soooo sorry. That's horrible. But don't stress...there's nothing you can do about it....it happened...get it fixed and move on... It is what it is.. (my favorite saying)

I have Geico too so don't worry about it. If she sues that is what insurance is for. I know it's hard not to think about it. Everything will work out!

have you called geico yet? seems this lady is the one making all the moves...don't just wait for her to do everything. You need to take action of your own and find out what you need to do

ohhh nicole i am glad to know that you are okay! But getting into an accident stinks! I am sorry you got a ticket on top of that! That stinks...

I hope the woman doesnt sue. What happened that she might? Did you rearend her that she could say the accident was all your fault..?? Man I hate when people arent just glad that they are ok and just get their car fixed. Or I hate when people pretend to be hurt.

My mom and I last year were pulling out of a parking lot and we had the right of way. But on the other side of a 4 laned street in another parking lot a woman decides to make the turn with us and hit us head on! Then the woman was trying to play it off as we were in the wrong (which the cops said we were in teh right) and she was saying oh i hurt my next the airbag. Um lady the airbag never deployed

sorry to hear this! I actually scratched my car a few weeks ago too... another car was RACING down my parking garage at home and I had to swerve to miss them. Well, I miscalculated how close I was to the wall and scratched the whole right side of my car! I just got a quote to fix it- over $1,100 UGH!! I totally understand and hope it all works out for you
