anyone involved? I'm thinking of doing some major career moves and getting into this field whether it be a Vet Assistant, tech, etc, etc. I have NOT looked into it a ton, but want to get an idea of what i should be doing.
What schools would you recommend? How is the pay to start and such? benefits? is one end of the field better than another?? do you think this is a field that there will always be a need for 'us'?
basically any info you can give me would be appreciated :D
thanks ladies

Re: NWR: Animal Care field
I am not in the field but I have thought about it from time to time because I just looooove animals and think that working with them in some aspect all day would be the ultimate job for me, and maybe the first job I actually enjoy. Good luck to you!!!!!

I would love to work with animals too, but I couldn't put them down. Good luck in your pursuit! I hope you find something!

Re: NWR: Animal Care field
i dont know what prior experience you have- but i was a pharmaceutical rep - got laid off- and now i'm looking to get back into the field but for vets- and in this side of the field- you get a car (cause its outside sales) usually a phone and the pay is really great......

My DH went to Suffolk Community College for Veterinary Science Technology. He graduated with honors. He took the NYS exam and is now a Licensed Vet Tech.
