NWR: Annoyed

NWR: Annoyed

So FH has been helping his friend move. Apparently his friend didn't want to rent a truck so FH has been putting stuff into his SUV and driving between the two places, for the past three days. His friend has not once offered any gas money or anything else!! I feel that is wrong!! We've moved a few times and he hasn't helped us, so it's not like we owe him. I'm upset with his friend and also at FH because he isn't asking him for gas money!!! If he were to offer some money we wouldn't accept it, but at least offer you know??!?!

GRRRRRR.......

its not worth the stress...Some people are just so insanely clueless about common decency, and FH's friend seems like that...
Just dont worry about it and let it roll off your back, its not worth it in the long run

i think thats so rude of someone to not even offer!!! doesnt his friend know about your FH's situation?? how can you expect someone to spend this money on you knowing this? I would say something to his friend for fh, not bitchy or anything but just explaining that you dont mind helping with the moving and normally wouldnt say anything about the money but given the circumstances everthings a little tight etc and still dont mind helping but if he could just cover his cost at least (ie gas) that would be helpful...JMO

Hmmmmm
Are they done moving?
If not wait and see if he offers anything after the fact.
He might offer to take the both of you out to dinner.

If he doesnt
Then get mad

He does know our situation....and that makes it even worse!! But I am going to try to let it go, because as I long as I do the right thing I can't control what other do (sorry for the therapist talk LOL). I think they are finishing up today, so we'll see. I told FH I was upset about it last night, he understands, but I don't know if he feels comfortable saying anything

well at least you told FH, i can see why he may not feel comfortable saying anything, it just pisses me off for you that his friend knows the situation, knows your planning a wedding, and STILL! ahhh ok im getting stressed out for you!

i guess if you can than its best to let it go

i can totally understand FH not asking for gas money bc its a little ackward....but the friend should TOTALLY offer to do something to pay you guys back. When fh and I moved we had a few friends helping...we paid for their gas and bought all them pizzas and beer!

Its best to just go on an not even say anything... Saying something will more than likely just create more drama... Just for the next time you know it might not be a good idea to help out, or if you do let it be known what isn't going to happen...

Just keep a mental note not to offer to help next time he needs the help. Some people are just inconsiderate.

i wouldn't stress over it, just next time he helps you, don't offer...but who knows, maybe when he is done moving he will offer to take him out for a beer or something

I'm moving this weekend. Can I borrow your FH too, since apparently I won't have to pay him anything...

J/K - I think his friend is being rude, but that is between them. I think women honestly tend to think about these things alot more. Guys don't usually keep track of who did what and when they did it and stuff.
