I'm making little scrapbook/chipboard albums to ask my BMs. I'm almost done with one of them, but I haven't added the words. To be honest I've mostly done card-making and a few layouts with NO journaling. Do you have any suggestions on how to add journaling and make it look neat?

One thing that I've done in the past is turn the journal page into the background. So you could get an opaque paper and print on it whatever you'd like. You can then put the decopage (sp?) paste over it so it dries clear and then you can add whatever you'd like on top of that.
I REALLY like the scrapbook idea. I'm doing one for FH as his gift, but hadn't thought to do one to ask my BMs....yet another idea of yours that I'm stealing!

NP! I was suposed to do one for FH for our 10th anniversary but it was such a hge project I didn't end up doing it, but I still plan to.
What I did was I bought buttefkly shaped chipboard albums for $1 each at Michaels, covered all pages with patterned paper and added photos of us through the yars. I left the last page blank with photo corners on it so that she can put a pic of us together at the wedding to complete the album.
I left blank pages where the journaling should be..I want to put things like..
'because of all the late nights...'
'because you make me laugh my *** off..
'i can't imagie my special day without you'
'will you be my bridesmaid?'
all on diff pages near the corresponding pictures.
I'm just not sure how to do it. Like what kind of paper do I put it on?
Do I hand wrtie it or type it?
Here's an example pic. The right hand side has a lot fo space so I can put words there.

i wasn't really sure what you meant by journaling, but if you want to include some phrases, I normally just buy packs of letter stickers and write out the phrase with that...or they have those roll on things (totally blanking on what they're really called), but its a backwards sticker and you apply it to the page with the pressure of a wooden popsicle stick, kwim? those packages always have really cute quotes in there

I live for rub-ons!
But I actually want to put my own words on there, like why I want her to be my BM. I just don't know how to put it and make it look neat

i am an avid scrapbooker and i write a lot also. one way i tend to journal is what i call 'secret' journaling. basically, if i have a picture or something as a focal point on the page, i only glue down three sides of it so it makes a pocket. then i write what i am feeling, memories, or whatever on something that fits in the fold. i'll leave maybe half an inch out and decorate it. that way, you and the other person know it's there, but anyone else looking at it won't know about it. i do this a lot in mine and fh's book.

Do you have any suggestions for writing short sentences to be displayed on the pages and how to make them look nice? Like above, on the page with the small picture I want to write something about laughing a lot.
