NWR: ANYBODY EVER BEEN TO PROVIDENCE IN MANHATTAN?

is this the place that's located on 54th corner of Lex?? If so, then it's a very nice place.. on Thursday's free happy hour from 5-6:30pm and very nice and loungy... The dress code for during the week I know is dress/casual.. no sneakers or boots nor jeans for the men. I've only gone on a weekday and that was the attire.. I went on a few ocassions with jeans and pumps which I think is ok for women..

From what I remember from my drunken state.. was that there was not a seperate room for a dancing... but there was a DJ. And I don't recall paying for Bottles in order to sit.

I went to Providence once - it's on West 57th, I think around 8th Ave. I think there are three floors, but I was only on two. The main level is a trendy restaurant with eclectic foods. If you eat there you get into the nightclub for free and don't have to wait on line. Downstairs is the nightclub area. There are small booths and couches around the perimeter of the room. When I went there were a few bachelorette parties, and it seemed like a younger crowd - and I'm only 27! As the night went on you had the girls making out with other girls for attention thing going on - I didn't even really see it because I don't really care, but just to give you an idea of the crowd. I only know because my idiot guy friends decided to take pictures But overall I had a good time. I think the music was pretty good - a lot of z100 type of music (I think, but I had a few drinks by the time we got down there). I'd go back, but wouldn't make it an every weekend thing.

Look on Joonbug ... they often take pictures there and post them on the site. I know this because my friend woke up in the morning and noticed a card that said 'you've been snapped by the Joonbug or something' and she was like 'Uh-oh! I don't remember that!' The pictures were pretty funny.

Crowded - sort of. I could definitely walk around and dance, but I was always bumping into someone

Prices - Typical Manhattan club prices, somewhat expensive, but not the worst I've seen

Dress Code - girls were mostly in nice jeans or black pants and cute tops. I wouldn't suggest anyone wear sneakers or tattered jeans. I think guys are supposed to wear slacks and a nice shirt, and I'm pretty sure there's a 'no hat' policy.

Lounge - like I said there are tables around the dance floor, but I think you need bottle service to sit there. There is also a lounge, but I don't think I ever made it there. I'd call them to find out.
