I just found out that they dropped some channels because the rates were raised for CBS, MTV, Comedy Central and a bunch of other channels. I pay a fortune every month for this and now I get less channels too? They are going to give you a credit of $1 per month. Are they kidding me? I think I may switch to cable.

According to Dishnetwork, Directv decided to raise their rates to cover the increase in these channels, and Dishnetwork doesn't want to do that. I might have to switch to Directv. How much do you guys pay?

on avg, dishnetwork is a few bucks less then DirectTv... but from what i here, it's just as good. I was thinking of going to dishnetwork (i used to have it but long story) but now it's seem like they made up my mind for me

We had directv, but switched back to cable because we always had a problem whenever it was windy or rainy out.

We have directv and pay 39.99 per month for like 100 channels and local channels. If you want to add HBO or Showtime it is an xtra 12.99 per month (we only order HBO for the Sopranos and then cancel when it is over). We have had it for 2 years and lost reception only once or twice because of the weather and it is really windy here in Indy. Hope that helps

WHERE IS MY MTV????? THIS IS NOT DISH NETWORK I HAVE>>>>>>>>>ITs the extended digital cable I have thru my cable company...we are not allowed dishes here.....

I have dish network and I am really mad right now. Unfortunatly there is nothing I can do about it because I get it free from my landlords. I hope it somes back soon though.

How much did Direct TV raise their rates?????????? we have dish netowrk and watched the CEO of the company expln how they are looking into the problem and 'taking care of it'... he did seem really concerned but how am I going to watch 'Nick & Jessica' w/o MTV?????????????????
