i'm on craigslist, and i posted on the Housing Wanted, looking for an apt.
got a nice response from a landlord in Nissequogue, but i am so retarded. i have never heard of this town on long island. anyone know where it is? i e-mailed them back asking where it is, but figured i'd ask here rather than be patient.

Re: NWR: Anyone ever heard of the town Nissequogue?
According to google maps, it's just north of St. James. I've never heard of it though.
i guess if i wasn't retarded i could've figured out mapping it like you did! wanted to make sure i wasn't crazy in never hearing of this town either! i have a zip code chart of suffolk in front of me, and it's not even listed!
TY!

It's out East. Verynice area. Big money for houses. Not sure about apartments though. It's a Hamptons like atmosphere.

It is a beautiful area! I grew up and my parents live in old Stony Brook, which is right near Nissequogue. It is very New Englandy. The homes are beautiful and expensive, but the area is beautiful. Right on the long island sound. It is out east, Exit 62 on the LIE. I don't live in the area any more, but I would love to move back!

Re: NWR: Anyone ever heard of the town Nissequogue?
i'm off Exit 53 on the LIE and anything past the northern state pkwy heading North...seems so far to me ! LOL i barely have traveled to the North Shore in all my years on long island. (born and raised on the south shore)
but the place seems nice...and the guy said we can bring out kitty, and he is negotiable on the rent. so i'm gonna check it out this week and see how it is! thanks for info ladies!
