NWR: anyone have experience w/LoJack or similar devices?

I am looking into anti-theft devices for my new car. I'm not sure what to get. I figured I'd post here since this board gets the most visibility.

Any thoughts anyone has on any type of anti-theft alarm or any type of tracking system would be appreciated.

I have heard good and bad about LoJack so I'm hoping to get some more feel back on it.

I didn't bother getting it. Honestly, I see it as a waste of money. Your insurance company gives you like a 5% discount for having it.
My cousins car had it, and her car got stolen. By the time they found it, only the skeleton of the car was left. Lo-jack wasnt the one that found it either. A guy passing by saw her mail in the car and contacted her.

I have a porsche boxster and we got lojack installed. I decided to get that instead of an alarm system. But considering my car has never been stolen, I don't have too much to say about it. Sometimes I secretly wish that someone would steal it, so I could see how it worked.
