I heard from a few different people that Joe Biden might be stepping down as the VP candidate due to health problems and Hillary Clinton might be stepping in. Has anyone heard about this and is there any truth behind it?

I def. don't think that all women who would have voted for Hilary are going to vote McCain because of Sarah Palin. I personally don't feel this way, but A LOT of women (and men) think Sarah Palin is a joke!
You are right- I know a lot of Clinton supporters still voting for Obama. I don't think that will shift their votes to the other side.
However, the media is making Palin look like a joke. Read her policies. She is not a joke at all IMO. I have a friend who lives in Alaska who is a liberal and LOVES Palin because she squashed corruption in Alaska.

Okay, I TOTALLY agree with this statement. Im not supporting Palin or anything, but seriouslly, this is why I hate the media, they are so biased and one sided that they cloud everyone judgement. They are making Palin out to be the biggest mistake and joke ever, but read her policies! She is hardcore and knows what she is talking about .. so its interesting to see what she really thinks. I never read the newspapers that are either pro-democrat or pro-republic ... i try to read the neutral ones becuase those are usually the ones that give you the full story and arent biased.

It is kind of a scarey thought that its possible that if McCain becomes president and something happens to him, Palin could become president. Her prior experience doesn't make me feel that she could be a fit president of this country, especially under these economic times!
I understand why you feel that way. However, Obama lacks much needed experience as well IMO. And, I believe Palin has a bit more than Obama. Do I think she could be President? No. She has some experience yes but not enough to run a country that is facing serious issues at this point.

I agree with you 100%. The media does so much to control peoples' minds. Some people don't read anything but just listen to other other people say and go by that which is a big mistake. I know Palin is legit and is a very smart woman. She is someone people can relate to because she doesn't have a perfect squeaky clean image and is no bullsh*t. I like that.

wants to elminate any funding for sex education in schools and only wants creationism taught (that we were created from God) --you see how well that worked for her daughter!
She is a firm believer in Right to life and against pro-choice.
For those of you that don't follow politics. There will be two US Supreme Court Justices coming up for retirement. Bush has already appointed two, another two from the McCain/Palin administration will certaintly overturn Roe V. Wade.
Do you like to give up your freedoms and rights to the government?

I just had to say I do not think that is a fair statement to make.. There are tons of women who are voting for McCain/Palin in America (and on this board) and saying they have a screw loose is offensive IMO... I am not trying to start a fight or cause drama but I am sure if I said 'anyone who votes for Obama is stupid' I would get attacked! That is JMO though...

Agreed. She should have NOT said that. Very inappropriate if you ask me. Everything is so one sided to some people at that 'screws loose' comment is an example of how one sided people can be.
By the way, using the Huffington Post and a blog as a resource for your information is pretty comical. Never get your facts from an opinionated blogger. Get your facts from articles that PROVES the facts.
This is a touchy subject and some people cannot handle the discussion.

I do not want to offend anyone on here. I just get so heated when I hear people supporting McCain/Palin and thier excuse is because of capital gain taxes, because they think their husbands make so much money it will affect them and they are not looking into what will affect them as women.
Once again... sorrry if I offended anyone...i just get a little hot under the collar when Palin's name is mentioned.
